Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) under Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACs) is hiring candidates to fill up Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors posts on a Deputation Basis. The number of vacancies available for the given posts is 07.

Tenure for ISRO Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2023, candidates will be appointed on a deputation basis for a tenure period of 05 years which is extendable up to 07 years as per the extant orders on the subject.

Age Limit for ISRO Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit should not exceed 56 years as of the date of receipt of the application.

Qualification for ISRO Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the ISRO Recruitment 2023 must have the following qualification.

Deputy Director (Technical Directorate) – Launch Vehicle
Candidate should have a Bachelors/Master/Doctoral degree in Engineering /Technology

Deputy Director (Technical Directorate) – Earth Observation Applications
Candidate should have a Masters/Doctoral degree in Science or Engineering /Technology

Assistant Director (Technical Directorate) – Launch Vehicle
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science /Engineering//Technology

Assistant Director (Technical Directorate) – Earth Observation Applications
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science/Engineering//Technology

Deputy Director (PMA) – Earth Observation Applications
Candidate should have an MSc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. or Equivalent in Physics/ Remote Sensing / GIS / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geomatics / Geospatial Technology/ Spatial Information Technology or other allied disciplines, etc.

Deputy Director/ Assistant Director (PMA) – Spectrum Management
Candidate should have a B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or other allied disciplines OR M.Sc. in Electronics, IT, or equivalent.

Desirable
Candidate should have an M. Tech/ M.E./Ph.D. communications systems/Micro-waves/ RF/ Satellite communication or equivalent from a recognized university.

Deputy Director (Technical Directorate) – Launch Vehicle

• Technical/ operational/ project management expertise as senior/ middle level (Level 13A/ 13) Scientist / Engineer in Launch Vehicle Systems engineering.
  OR
• Experience in an interdisciplinary project management or execution role on rocket stages and/or launch systems, Assembly, integration, and testing of launch vehicle systems, avionics, or equivalent work.
  OR
• Experience in launch operations including range safety, handling ground support equipment at umbilical/service tower and/or TTC systems.

Desirable

• Multi-disciplinary knowledge and approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and documentation skills.
• Project Management skills

Deputy Director (Technical Directorate) – Earth Observation Applications

• Technical/ operational/ project management expertise as senior/ middle level (Level 13A/ 13) Scientist / Engineer in Space Applications Area.
  OR
• Practical Experience in the field of Satellite/aerial-based earth observation/ remote sensing applications, handling of Earth Observation imagery/data, GIS analysis, and workflow execution in natural resources mapping /monitoring and management.
  OR
• Working experience in remote sensing applications projects of national importance or flagship projects, quality evaluation and delivery, etc. with a proven track record.

Desirable

• Ability to translate user needs to solutions, Ability to apply expertise in multiple domains (Water Resources, Forestry, Agriculture, geology, climate sciences, etc) .
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Project Management skills

Assistant Director (Technical Directorate) – Launch Vehicle

• Candidate should have Technical and operational expertise in launch vehicle systems, range operations, safety and/or launch vehicle TT&C systems in the level 12/11.
  OR
• Candidate should have an experience in launch operations including range safety, handling ground support equipment at umbilical/service tower, and/or TTC systems.
  OR
• Candidate should have an exceptional comprehension of first principles in the following engineering disciplines; mechanical, structural dynamics, materials, electrical, Communications, mechatronics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, orbital mechanics, controls, propulsion, etc.

Desirable

• Multidisciplinary knowledge of launch vehicle systems.
• Candidate should have worked in a team and accomplished at least one project in the launch vehicle system.
• Candidate should have Skills in scientific/technical writing, and problem-solving.

Assistant Director (Technical Directorate) – Earth Observation Applications

• Candidate should have Technical and operational expertise in Space Applications Area in level 12/11.
  OR
• Candidate should have a working experience in the field of Satellite/aerial-based earth observation/ remote sensing applications, handling of Earth Observation imagery/data, making user-specific products, GIS analysis, GIS workflow execution in the areas of geospatial applications in the natural resources mapping and monitoring, analysis/ generation of products for the earth and climate sciences, etc.

• Multi-disciplinary knowledge and approach to problem-solving.
• Use tools to join together different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns and create insights
• Skills in scientific/technical writing, problem-solving

Deputy Director (PMA) – Earth Observation Applications

Candidate should have Technical/ operational/ project management expertise as senior or middle level (71h Pay commission Level 13 and equivalent) Scientist/Engineer in Space Applications Area.
Candidate should have excellent communication & writing skills – project reports, proposals, and other documents.

Deputy Director/ Assistant Director (PMA) – Spectrum Management

• Candidate should have Technical/ operational/ project management expertise as senior or middle level (7th Pay commission Level 13 for Dy. Director and Level 11 /Level 12 for Assistant Director) in the area of satellite communication, payload, satellite, ground stations, RF systems, etc.
• Candidate should have excellent communication & technical-writing skills, generation of project reports and documentation etc.

Pay Scale for ISRO Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2023, the candidate selected for the post of Deputy Director will be paid between 13A/13, and the Assistant Director post applicant will be paid between 12/11 in the Pay Matrix.

Place of Posting for ISRO Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2023, candidates will be posted in Ahmedabad.
