ISRO Recruitment 2024: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is looking for interested and suitable applicants for the posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) and Research Associates (RAs) in various subject specializations (see below). Candidates selected for the post of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) will get Rs.37000 per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.42000 per month + HRA for subsequent years. Candidates selected for the post of Research Associate will get Rs.58000 per month + HRA in the first year and Rs.61000 per month + HRA in the second year, Rs.67000 per month + HRA in the third year. The maximum age limit for JRFs should be 28 years and for RAs the age limit should be 35 years as of 07.10.2024.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for posts reserved for them. The interview will be part of the selection process. There are 22 designated posts available. The candidate will be hired for a period of 01 year for both posts. The further extension for JRFs will be five years and three years for RAs. The candidates may complete their duly filled application form from the official website before the due date ( 07.10.2024). The starting date of the application form is 17.09.2024 to 1730 hours.

Based on the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, the tenure is mentioned below:
For Junior Research Fellows: The candidates will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR which is extendable for further periods based on an assessment of their work and the requirements of the project. The maximum period of engagement of a Junior Research Fellow shall not exceed FIVE years.
For Research Associates: The candidates will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR and is extendable for a further period based on an assessment of their work and the requirements of the project. The maximum period of engagement of a Research Associate shall not exceed THREE years.
Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on academic records and/or written tests (if required) for the personal interview. The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Communication shall be sent only to the shortlisted candidates. The selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in personal interviews only.
