Overview:

Microsoft is hiring an experienced Software Engineer at their Bangalore location. They are looking for engineers who are passionate about distributed storage and want to work on a fast-paced team with talented engineers. The team’s charter is to design and implement protocols and features for ensuring availability, consistency, and durability of petabytes of data across hundreds of nodes. We use distributed algorithms (consensus/Paxos, replication, consistency, etc.) and are looking for engineers interested in this space.

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.

1+ years of professional development experience in C/C++.

Experience with multi-threaded programming.

Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms with strong testing, debugging, and analytical skills.

Ability to engage with multiple stake holders to drive initiatives forward.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience in Virtualization and Storage.

Experience in cloud backend development and operation, including performance, reliability, resilience, and scale-out.
