Pay Scale : Level 8 (Rs 47600-151100) in the Pay Matrix of the 7^th Pay Commission.

Eligibility for Ministry of Communications Recruitment 2022:

Officers from the Central or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Statutory and Autonomous bodies:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With two years of service in the level rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400) in the pay-matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or

(iii) With six years of service in the level rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis the level-6- (Rs. 35400-112400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Qualifications for Ministry of Communications Recruitment 2022:

(i) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical or Electronics or Electrical Communication or Computer Science or Telecommunications or Information Technology or Instrumentation from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or

(ii) Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or

(iii) Obtained a degree or Diploma in Engineering, from such foreign University or College or Institution and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time; or

(iv) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India); or

(v) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959; or

(vi) Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; and

Experience: Two years of experience in the field of Telecommunications and Administration.

Age-Limit: The age of applicants for both the posts, i.e., Sub Divisional Engineer and Junior Telecom Officer shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of the application.

Period of Deputation: The period of deputation shall be for 3 (Three) years initially, extendable further up to 5 years or till superannuation, whichever is earlier.
