Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Defence, Head Quarters Dakshin Bharat Area, Chennai has invited Applications in the Prescribed Specimen Proforma from Male and Female Candidates Eligible for 03/04 Civil [Lower Division Clerk, Cook, Multi-Tasking (NT) Staff (Messenger/Gardener)] Posts with 12 Vacancies through this Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued. According to Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Candidates having the Desirable Eligibility with Interest for the Posts may apply in the Prescribed Specimen Proforma within 21 Days post-released Recruitment Notice.
As per the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, 03/04 Posts are covered under Pay Matrix Levels (PMLs); i.e., PML 02 with Pay Band Rs. 19900 and PML 01 with Pay Band Rs.18000.
According to the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there are 12 Vacancies to be filled up explained hereunder:
01) Lower Division Clerk Post: 01 Vacancy.
02) Cook Post: 02 Vacancies
03) Multi-Tasking (NT) Staff (Messenger/Gardener) Post: 09 (07 Plus 02) Vacancies.
Based on the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Pay Scales Applicable to the Posts are as follows:
01) Lower Division Clerk Post: Pay Matrix Level 02 Pay Band Rs.19900 Plus Other Allowances as per Government of India Orders.
02) Cook Post: Pay Matrix Level 02 Pay Band Rs.19900 Plus Other Allowances as per Government of India Orders.
03) Multi-Tasking (NT) Staff (Messenger/Gardener) Post: Pay Matrix Level 01 Pay Band Rs.18000 Plus Other Allowances as per Government of India Orders.
According to the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Age Limits as on the Closing Date of the Application Receipt for Open/General Merit Candidates is as follows:
01) Un-Reserved Category: Male/Female: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 25 Years.
02) Age relaxations for Reserved Community Candidates are as per the Government of India Rules as also explained in the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
Various Eligibility Criteria comprising Post specific Posts Required are as follows:
Educational Qualifications:
01) Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Post:
a) Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate/12th Class or Equivalent Qualification from any Duly Recognised Board or University.
Desirable: Computer-Based Typewriting Speed in English and Hindi 35/30 Words Per Minute on (35 Words Per Minute and 30 Words Per Minute corresponding to 10500/9000 Key Depression Per Hour on an average of 05 Key Depressions each Word).
02) Cook and Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Posts:
Educational Qualification: Matriculation/10th Class Pass or Equivalent Qualification from any Duly Recognised Board.
Desirable for Cook Post: Must have Knowledge of the Indian Cooking and Proficiency in Trade
Written Examination will be conducted for filling up the notified Posts as it involves induction into Group ‘C’ Posts.
The Selection Criteria in accordance with the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Office Notification shall be carried out/conducted on the bases of the Candidates’ individual Performance and Merit determined on the basis of the Marks obtained in the Written Tests as well as subject to qualifying the Skill Test.
The Appointments into the Notified Posts applied for by the Candidates will initially be on a Temporary Basis, which are likely to be Permanent after successful completion of the Probationary Period for 02 Years. Selected Candidate’s Initial Appointment will be with Posting under the Head Quarters Dakshin Bharat Area, Island Grounds, Chennai-600 009 and Station Headquarters, Chennai – 600 009. Thereafter the individual is likely to be posted anywhere in India. All the Notified Posts are subject to All India Service Liability including Field Service.
Note*: Higher Qualification for any Post shall be given No Weightage.
Scheme of Examination: The Examination will consist of a Written Test only. The Written Test specific to the Posts with the Maximum Marks and the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions
Skill Test: Computer-Based Proficiency/Typewriting Test (For the LDC Post only): English Typing @ 35 Words Per Minute on Computer (Or) Hindi Typing @ 30 Words Per Minute on Computer (35 Words Per Minute and 30 Words Per Minute corresponding to 10500/9000 Key Depression Per Hour on an average of 05 Key Depressions each Word.
Post-specific Recruitment/Selection Methodology:
01) For Multi-Tasking (NT) Staff:
a) 02-Hours’ Duration Written Test for MTS and Cook Posts shall be in a Single Test Paper with 04 Test Sections Mandatory to be passed. There shall be 150 Multiple-Choice Questions of Objective Type therein for Maximum 150 Marks. Merit shall be prepared on the basis of the Marks obtained in the Written Examination.
b) Skill Test: Qualifying in nature.
02) For Lower Division Clerk:
a) Tier-I: 01-Hour’s Duration Written Test shall be in a Single Test Paper with 04 Test Sections Mandatory to be passed. There shall be 100 Multiple-Choice Questions of Objective Type therein for Maximum 200 Marks. Merit shall be prepared on the basis of the Marks obtained in the Written Examination.
b) Tier-II consisting of 02 Sessions. First Session with 03 Sections comprising 135 Objective-Type Multiple-Choice Questions for Maximum 450 Marks as follows:
Section-I: 60 Objective-Type Multiple-Choice Questions for 180 Marks
Section-II: 60 Objective-Type Multiple-Choice Questions for 180 Marks
Section-III: 15 Objective-Type Multiple-Choice Questions for 45 Marks
Tier-III: Second Session for Computer-Based Typewriting Test
As has been notified in the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, all Eligible Candidates with Interest for the Posts should complete the Application Submission Process in the Prescribed Format and as per the Instructions mentioned therein. Duly completed Applications need to be submitted receivable within 21 Days from publication of the Ministry of Defence Advertisement issued.
