Ministry of External Affairs Recruitment 2022: The Ministry of External Affairs of India, which is also abbreviated as MEA, is the government agency that is held responsible for the implementation of Indian Foreign Policy. It is headed by the Minister of External Affairs, a Cabinet Minister. The Ministry at present is recruiting candidates for the vacant posts of Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer. The department requires the services of qualified officers who are experienced in finance, budgeting, project management, and monitoring of government projects.
There are a total of 2 vacancies for the mentioned posts, 1 reserved for each. And the recruitment in the department will be on a deputation basis. The officers should be conversant with the Government of India’s financial rules such as General Financial Rules (GFR), Delegation of Financial Power Rules (DFPR), Government Accounting Rules (GAR), and related instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance, from time to time. The candidate selected for the post should also be proficient in computer operations, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.

The candidates selected for the post of Section Officer or Assistant Section Officer will be held responsible for the formulation of the budget of Ministries/departments, financial evaluation, and accounting of the government of India projects, consultancy agreements, procurement training courses, etc. Additionally, he/she will be engaged in the settlement of the running account bills and other claims of project implementing agencies from time to time. Other duties of the candidate include evaluation of financial/services regulations of institutions/agencies and audits of ministries or departments.
The place of posting for the selected candidate will be the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
