• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree recognized by the Medical Council of India or Post Graduate degree in any of the subjects viz- Biochemistry or Chemistry or Anthropology or Sociology or Social work or Food and Nutrition or Economics with specialization in Health Economics or Psychology or Biology or Bioscience or Entomology or Genetics or Medical Genetics or Immunology or Microbiology or Molecular biology or Pharmacology or Pharmacy or Toxicology or Virology or Zoology or Biotechnology or Botony or Bio-informatics or Biostatistics; Four years experience of Research and Development or Teaching or working experience from the public sector or Government recognized institutions.

Scientist D

• Doctor of Medicine or Master of Surgery or Diplomate of National Board or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India with 5 years of Research and Development or Teaching or working experience from the public sector or Government recognized institutions; or
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree recognized by Medical Council of India with Doctor of Philosophy and four years of Research and Development or Teaching or working experience from the public sector of Government recognized institutions; or
• Doctor of Philosophy from a recognized University in any of the aspects viz- Biochemistry or Chemistry or Anthropology or Sociology or Social work or Food and Nutrition or Economics with specialization in Health Economics or Psychology or Biology or Bioscience or Entomology or Genetics or Medical Genetics or Immunology or Microbiology or Molecular biology or Pharmacology or Pharmacy or Toxicology or Virology or Zoology or Biotechnology or Botony or Bio-informatics or Biostatistics

Duration for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Recruitment 2023::

As per the official DHR Recruitment 2023 notification, the period of deputation including the period of deputation in another Ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years for all three positions.
