Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited Online Applications from the Candidates duly Eligible for the Post Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification. The Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has 01 Vacancy for Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) with Posting in the Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Based on the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, notified 01 Vacancy has been earmarked for Un-Reserved Category Candidates for Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) Post under the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) the General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) Post Classification is Permanent.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, all Eligible Candidates with a Desire for the Ministry of Home Affairs Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) may complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process up to the Last Date 11.05.2023 as per the Instructions prescribed therein. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, those selected as Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) post Appointment shall be entitled to Monthly Salary in the Pay Matrix Level 10 hereinunder:
Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs.5610-177500) of Pay Matrix under 7th CPC
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligible Applicant should be aged as narrated hereunder:
1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed 35 Years as on the Closing Date 11.05.2023.

The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Applicants are as follows:
Essential Qualification(s):
The Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:
A. Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/ Pharmacy/ Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the Subjects during all 03 (Three) Years’ Bachelor of Science from any Accredited University/Institute
B. Experience: 03 (Three) Years’ Experience of Analytical Methods and Research therein in the field of Toxicology from any Duly recognized Government accredited Organization Or Institution.
Desirable Qualification(s): 01 (One) Year’s Experience of working in any Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central Or State Government Or Union Territory Administration post-obtained Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualifications.
Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification with regard to Experience with regard to the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
Based on the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received relatively in large number from the Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria for restricting the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:
As has been explained in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:
A) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
I) Un-Reserved (UR) Category: Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
II) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 50 Marks
III) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
IV) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
B) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:
I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
