Monthly Pay under Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023:

Based on the Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Monthly Pay Scale for those selected as Assistant Engineer shall remain as narrated hereunder hereinunder:

Monthly Pay: (Pre-Revised Scale Pay Band 2 Rs. 9300-34800 Plus Grade Pay 4800) Pay Level 8 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 47600- 151100 as per 7th CPC)

Essential Criteria: The Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:

A) Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Drilling/Mining/Mechanical /Civil /Electrical Engineering/Petroleum Technology from any recognized University and or Equivalent*

(* The Educational Qualification Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Drilling/Mining/Mechanical/Civil/ Electrical Engineering/Petroleum Technology is the Qualification of AMIE {Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India)} acquired before 31.05.2013 in the Streams/Trades of “Drilling/Mining/ Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering/Petroleum Technology”)

Experience: 01 Year’s Experience in Repairs and Maintenance of Automobile Machines and Equipment Or 01 Year’s Experience in Operation and Maintenance of Drilling Rigs.

Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification in reference to Experience with regard to the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.

Selection Process under Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023:

According to the Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria also explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology:

In the event of Applications received relatively in large number from the Candidates, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:

i) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

ii) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.

iii) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.

iv) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.

v) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

vi) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:

As has been explained in the UPSC issued Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Viva-voce/ Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:

A) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interviews or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain subject to the Minimum Qualifying Marks for I) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS); II) Other Backward Community and III) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s).

B) In the cases where Selection for the notified Assistant Engineer Post is carried through by a Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will need to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
