Post Names and Vacancies for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

NCCS is inviting candidates for Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow, and Project Assistant on various extramural projects purely on a temporary basis. There are 03 vacancies for the given post.

Age Limit for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit should be between 28 years to 50 years.

Age relaxation of 5 years in the case of Women/SC/ST/PH candidates and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules.

Qualification for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the NCCS Recruitment 2023 must have the following qualification.

Senior Research Fellow

Candidate should have Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
• The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government  Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Junior Research Fellow

Candidate should have Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
• The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Project Assistant

The candidate should have a B.Sc degree.

Experience for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the Official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, candidates should have at least two years of experience for the Senior Research Fellow position, at least one to two years for the Junior Research Fellow position, and at least three years for the Project Assistant position.

Senior Research Fellow

• Candidate should have 2 years of research experience.
• Experience in cancer biology, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques, developing and handling mice for experiments and tumor tissues processing, knowledge of basic immunology, metabolic diseases, and enzymology is important.
• Good working knowledge of flow cytometry and microscopic techniques is a must.

Junior Research Fellow

Candidate must have experience of at least 1 to 2 years in Basic Cell and Molecular Biology Techniques like PCR, handling Cell lines, Cloning, RNAi, Northern and Southern Blot, etc.

Project Assistant

• Candidate should have 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology.
• Candidates with strong background in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology techniques will be preferred. Candidates with prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology will be given preference.

Project Tenure for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, the Project tenure for each post is given below.

• The Project Tenure for the Senior Research Fellow post will be  Up to 05.06.2026
• The  Project Tenure for the Junior Research Fellow  post will be  Up to  31.12.2023 
• The   Project Tenure for the Project Assistant post will be  Up to 29.12.2024.

Salary for for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, the selected candidate will get a monthly salary between Rs.20000 to Rs.35000 depending on the post they will be hired for.

Selection Procedure for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, candidates will be selected on the basis of Interviews and shortlisted candidates will be notified of interview details only via email.
