NCERT Recruitment 2024: The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is looking for qualified and deserving candidates for the positions of Assistant Editors, Proof Readers and DTP Operators purely on a contract basis. Based on the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the applicant’s maximum age limit should be up to 50 years. The applicant must have graduatedin any subject from a recognized university.
In accordance with the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, there are 170 seats available for the mentioned posts. The applicant will be hired for 6 months. Referring to the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the chosen applicants for the mentioned positions will be given a salary of 50000 per month. Willing and desirous candidates who meet the above criteria can go for the skill test/interview. The skill test/interview. will be held at the Publication Division, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016 on 2 -02-2024 and 3 -02-2024.

For Assistant Editor- 60 posts (English 25 Hindi 25 and Urdu 10)
For Proof Reader – 60 posts (English 25 Hindi 25 and Urdu 10)
For DTP Operators – 50 posts (English 20 Hindi 20 and Urdu 10)
Referring to the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the age limits are mentioned below:
For Assistant Editors-The upper age limit should be 50 years.
For Proof Readers- The upper age limit should be 42 years.
For DTP Operators- The upper age limit should be 45 years.
Qualification for NCERT Recruitment 2024:
Based on the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the required qualification is given below:
For Assistant Editors-
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing/Mass Communication/Journalism, where editing is one of the subjects.
At least 5 year experience in editing, producing-planning and supervising publications especially school textbooks, monographs and reports in a responsible capacity.
Knowledge of book production techniques, modern process of printing, typography and should be proficient in English/Hindi/Urdu.
Desirable-
Word processing and techniques of online editing.
For Proof Reader-
A Bachelor degree either in English/Hindi/Urdu.
At least 01 year experience of working in a Printing or Publishing organisation as Copy Holder/Proof Reader.
Working knowledge of Computer.
Desirable-
Knowledge of Typography.
For DTP Operators-
The candidate should have Graduationin any subject.
One Year Diploma/Certificate course in Desk Top Publishing from a recognized institute.
Minimum 3 years experience in a publishing house of repute preferably in textbook making.
Proficiency in In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Equation Editor, Microsoft word, including Excel and Page-maker.
According to the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the method of selection will be based on a skill test/interview. No TA/DA is admissible either for attending a skill test/interview or at the time of joining the post. Candidates should bring their original certificates at the time of the interview.
The schedule of the Interview is as given below:
Date of Screening and registration of Candidate: 1 -02- 2024 from 10 AM to 3 PM
Venue: Publication Division, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016.
The date and time of the skill test for Assistant Editor is Saturday, 3-02-2024.
The date and time of the skill test for Proof Reader is Friday, 2-02-2024.
The date and time of the skill test for DTP Operators are Friday and Saturday, 2-02-2024 and 3-02-2024.
In accordance with the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, interested and suitable candidates can visit the venue of the skilled test /interview. The applicants may attend the test and interview with a copy of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with original certificates and photocopies of the same duly self-attested.
