NCSM Recruitment 2022: Check Posts, Eligibility, Last Date and How to Apply

NCSM Recruitment 2022: National Science Centre, Delhi is a constituent unit of the National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata, an autonomous scientific organization functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has invited applications for hiring eligible candidates for filling up the Posts of Office Assistant (Grade-III) and Technician ‘A’ (Painter/ Electronics/ Carpenter/ Sheet Metal/ Fitter). There are a total of 08 vacancies for the Posts. The recruitment process shall comprise two stages, the Written Test and the Typewriting Test. The age for Office Assistant (Grade-III) will not be more than 25 years as of 12/12/2022 and Technician ‘A’ will not be more than 35 years as of 12/12/2022. The pay scale of the selected candidates will be in the Pay Matrix Level-2, Rs. 19900-63200 with basic pay of Rs. 19900 Plus Emoluments and usual allowances as per the Government of India Rules for both positions. The recruitment process shall comprise two stages, the Written Test and the Typewriting Test. The Written Test shall comprise of 20 marks of descriptive and 80 Marks for objective-type questions and there is no negative marking. Candidates who passed the written test shall be called for Typing Test (to be conducted on a Computer) which will be a qualifying test.

The age for Technician ‘A’ will not be more than 35 years as of 12/12/2022. The application must be submitted in the prescribed format and not in plain paper. The eligible and interested candidates may submit the completed applications along with attested copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials may be sent to National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan, Near Gate-4, Bhairon Road, New Delhi – 110001, so as to reach on or before 12/12/2022. 

The last date for the receipt of applications is 12.12.2022.

Age Limit for NCSM Recruitment 2022:

For Office Assistant (Grade III):

The age for Office Assistant (Grade III) will not be more than 25 years as of 12/12/2022

For Technician ‘A’ (Painter/ Electronics/ Carpenter/ Sheet Metal/ Fitter):

The age for Technician ‘A’ will not be more than 35 years as of 12/12/2022.

Qualifications for NCSM Recruitment 2022:

For Office Assistant (Grade III):

Higher Secondary or equivalent. The Candidates must qualify for typing test of 10 minutes duration with at least 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on the computer corresponding to 10500/9000 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) respectively, duly supported by a certificate from a Govt. recognized institution.

For Technician ‘A’ (Painter/ Electronics/ Carpenter/ Sheet Metal/ Fitter):

SSC or Matriculation with a certificate from ITI or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Candidates must have one year of experience after obtaining the certificate for a course duration of two years. For candidates obtaining certificates of one-year course duration, two years of relevant experience after obtaining the certificate shall be required.

Pay Scale for NCSM Recruitment 2022:

For Office Assistant (Grade III):

Pay Matrix Level-2, Rs. 19900-63200 with basic pay Rs. 19900 Plus Emoluments’ usual allowances as per the Government of India Rules. Total emoluments at the start as on date will be Rs.34,698 per month approx.

For Technician ‘A’ (Painter/ Electronics/ Carpenter/ Sheet Metal/ Fitter):

Pay Matrix Level-2, Rs. 19900 – 63200 with basic pay Rs. 19900 Plus Emoluments’ usual allowances as per the Government of India Rules. Total emoluments at the start as on date will be Rs. 34,698 per month approx.

Selection Pr0cess for NCSM Recruitment 2022:

The recruitment process shall comprise two stages, the Written Test and the Typewriting Test. The Written Test shall comprise of 20 marks of descriptive and 80 Marks for objective-type questions and there is no negative marking. Candidates who passed the written test shall be called for Typing Test (to be conducted on a Computer) which will be a qualifying test.

The candidates already working in Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector Undertaking and autonomous organizations must apply through the proper channels.
