NHM Punjab Recruitment 2023: National Health Mission (NHM) Punjab is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of House Surgeon on a contract basis. As per the NHM Punjab Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 523 vacancies. Selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 06 months in the various District Hospitals / Sub Divisional Hospitals of Punjab State. On successful completion of the full term of House appointment, the Civil Surgeon will issue a certificate in the prescribed format. No certificate shall be issued to the candidate who leaves House Job prior to its completion.
As per the NHM Punjab Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs. 70000. Candidates applying for this job post should be below the age of 37 years. Candidates will be selected through counseling/interview. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for the journey performed for counseling/interview. Candidates must have the minimum qualification of MBBS from a recognized University. In the case of foreign medical graduates, the candidate must have cleared the National Board of Examinations (NBE). He should be registered with the Punjab Medical Council/Medical Council of India/ National Medical Council. Candidates should have passed Punjabi upto the Matric level or equivalent examination conducted by the Language Department, Punjab and as per the latest instructions issued by Govt. of Punjab from time to time. He should be physically and mentally fit according to the standards of fitness provided for entrance to the Punjab State Medical Service. On successful completion of the full term of House appointment, the Civil Surgeon will issue a certificate in the prescribed format. No certificate shall be issued to the candidate who leaves House Job prior to its completion.

The leave is admissible/ without pay and can be availed only after due sanction by the concerned Civil Surgeon. Carrying forward unutilized leave of the month is permissible but restricted to the tenure of the ongoing batch of the House Job only. Every Candidate before an appointment will affirm in writing that he/she is not bonded to the service of the State Government/Govt of India. In the case of bonded candidates, a no objection certificate will be obtained by the candidate from the Director, Research and Medical Education, Punjab Chandigarh/Director, Health and Family Planning Punjab, Chandigarh.
