Data Entry Operator

Candidates should be Officers of the Central Government State Government or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Government Institutions holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department and possessing ‘O’ or ‘A’ level certificate for Information Technology from an Institute recognised by the Government.

Superintendent of Police

Candidates should be Officers of the Indian Police Service empanelled for holding Superintendent of Police level posts at the Centre, or Officers of the Central Government or the State Government or the Union Territories Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department or with 5-year service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the post in Pay Band-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs 6600 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department and candidates should have 10 years of experience in handling of cases of investigation of criminal cases, or intelligence work including counter-terrorism operations or imparting training in counter-terrorism.

As per the NIA Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates for the post of Data Entry Operator will be appointed for a tenure of 03 years and the selected candidates for the post of superintendent of Police will be appointed for a tenure of 04 years. The other terms and conditions of deputation will be government as laid down in the Govt. of India, DOP&T OM No. 6/08/2009-Estt (Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010 as amended from time to time.

Nature of Duties for NIA Recruitment 2023:

Data Entry Operator

• Prepare source data for entry by opening and sorting mail; verify and log receipt of data; obtain missing data.
• Records data by operating data entry equipment; collecting information, and resolving processing problems.
• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes department and organisation mission by completing related results and needs.
• Follow established practices or standards for the input and presentation of information.
• Proofread and verify data entered. Ensure the accuracy of all information entered and presentation format. Make corrections as needed.
• Assist with routine office duties such as typing, filing, and record maintenance as workload permits.
• Serve as backup for other clerical positions in the Unit.
• Perform related work as assigned.

Superintendent of Police

• The SP shall be responsible for the coordinated investigation of cases registered within their jurisdiction and also for the collection of intelligence from states within his jurisdiction or from the area as per orders.
• Candidates shall be responsible to investigate cases within a prescribed timeframe after receiving orders from the MHA.
• Candidates shall monitor national security-related developments and activities of extremists/militant groups/fundamentalist outfits/left-wing extremists within their jurisdiction as per orders.
• Candidates shall interrogate or get interrogated terrorists/LWE fundamentalists pertaining to their jurisdiction and prepare dossiers on them as per requirements.
• Candidates shall prepare up-to-date notes on various militants’ outfits giving the background, ideology, incidents, area of influence, modus operandi, cadre strength, weapon-holding supporters, sympathizers etc. as per the requirement of the organizations.
