NMPA Recruitment 2023: New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) is looking for suitable candidates to fill the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Civil) in the pay scale of Rs.80000-220000 through absorption by the Composite method. The selected candidate will be required to have a grading of “Very Good” in their APARs. Interested candidates who meet the prescribed qualifications and experience as mentioned in Annexure-I are invited to submit their applications through the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways’ Online Application Portal (OAP) between 29.03.2023 and 28.04.2023.

As per NMPA Recruitment 2023 official notification, the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Civil) in NMPA will become vacant on 01.09.2023, and it is to be filled through the absorption method from officers of Major Ports who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in Annexure-I. Candidates will be required to submit a hard copy of the application form uploaded in OAP to their administrative port for onward forwarding to NMPA. In addition, the administrative Ports are required to forward the applications of the candidates with certified copies of APARs for the last 5 years (2017-18 to 2021-22) duly attested by an officer, not below the rank of Dy.HOD on each of the pages, a statement showing year-wise availability of AP’ARs and grading duly signed by the Dy.Chairperson/Chairperson, attested photocopies of all certificates and proof of educational qualification, present and past work experience in the respective post and pay scale, No Objection Certificate from the respective Port, administrative clearance of the concerned Port, Vigilance report in the prescribed format, and the disciplinary case leading to any major or minor penalty imposed on the applicant during the last 10 years, if any. The crucial date for eligibility criteria will be the date of arising of vacancy i.e. 01.09.2023.

As per NMPA Recruitment 2023 official notification, it is important to note that applications received after 15.05.2023 will not be considered, and candidates who withdraw their candidature for the post after their selection by the Services Selection Committee will be liable for debarment from future selection to Dy. HoD-level posts in all Major Port Authorities for a period of two years. Therefore, interested candidates are encouraged to apply within the specified timeline and ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned in Annexure-I.

How to Apply for NMPA Recruitment 2023:

As per NMPA Recruitment 2023 official notification, to apply for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Civil) in New Mangalore Port Authority through the composite method, the candidate must follow the application process mentioned below:

  • Download the application form from the OAP website.
  • Fill in the application form completely and accurately.
  • Submit the hard copy of the application form uploaded in OAP to the administrative Port of the candidate.
  • The administrative Port will forward the application to NMPA before the last date of submission, which is 15.05.2023.
  • The administrative Port must superscribe “Application for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Civil) in New Mangalore Port Authority” on the application form and include the following documents:
  • Certified copies of APARs for the last 5 years (2017-18 to 2021-22) duly attested by an officer, not below the rank of Dy.HOD on each of the pages.
  • The last date for application is 15 May 2023.
  • A statement showing year-wise availability of APARs and grading duly signed by the Dy.Chairperson/Chairperson. If APAR for a particular year during the last 5 years is not available, a ‘No Report Certificate” may be furnished, along with APARs of the preceding years.
  • Attested photocopies of all certificates and proof of educational qualification, present and past work experience in the respective post, and pay scale.
  • No Objection Certificate from the respective Port.
  • The undertaking of the applicant is that he will not withdraw his candidature if selected by the Services Selection Committee.
  • Administrative clearance of the concerned Port (Annexure – I).
    The vigilance report is to be furnished in the prescribed format (Annexure – II).
  • If any major or minor penalty has been imposed on the applicant during the last 10 years, the disciplinary case leading to such penalty along with necessary documents may be sent along with the application.
    The candidate must ensure that the application is received through the proper channel from the Port within 15 days of the last date of receipt of applications, as per the Ministry’s circular No.A-2901814/20811P8-I dated 11.8.2021. Otherwise, the candidature will not be considered.
  • The crucial date for eligibility criteria will be the date of arising of vacancy i.e. 01.09.2023 in terms of Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways circular No. 4-2901814120811PF-I dated 11.8.2023.
    If the candidate withdraws his candidature for the post after his selection by the Services Selection Committee, he will be liable for debarment from future selection to Dy. HoD level posts in all Major Port Authorities for a period of two years, as per the Ministry’s guidelines dated 1 1.08.2021.
