As per the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the opportunity is opened for eligible and suitable candidates for the post of Contractual Drilling/Workover Operator, Contractual Drilling/Workover Mechanic, Contractual Drilling/Workover Assistant Operator and Contractual Drilling/Workover Assistant Mechanic on a purely contractual basis. There are a total number of 31 vacancies available for the mentioned position.

Qualification for Oil India Recruitment 2023:

As informed in the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the required qualifications are given below:

For Contractual Drilling/Workover Operator-

• Applicants must have passed Class 10 from the Government Recognized Education Board.
• Applicants must have passed a three-year Diploma in any Engineering discipline from Government Recognized Polytechnic.
• Applicants must have minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification work experience in Drilling / Workover activities like Drilling / Workover operation, able to operate a brake during any workover operation, raising and lowering of workover mast, rig floor operations like making and lowering BHA, tripping in/tripping out tubular etc. OR
• Applicants should have passed a Bachelor’s degree in Science Stream from a recognized University.
• Applicants should have minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification work experience in Drilling / Workover activities like Drilling / Workover operation, able to operate the brake during any workover operation, raising and lowering of workover mast, rig floor operations like making and lowering BHA, tripping in/tripping out tubular, etc. OR
• Applicants should have passed Class 10 from the Government Recognized Education Board.
• Applicants should have a Trade certificate in any trade of Diesel Mechanic /Fitter / Electrician / Turner/Welder/Motor Mechanic/Machinist Trade from a recognized Institute.
• Applicants should have a minimum 05 (Five) years post qualification work experience in Drilling / Workover activities like Drilling / Workover operation, able to operate the brake during any workover operation, rig down & rig up operation, raising and lowering of workover mast, rig floor operations like making and lowering BHA, tripping in/tripping out tubular, etc.

For Contractual Drilling/Workover Mechanic-

• Applicants must have Class 10 from the Government Recognized Education Board.
• Applicants must have 03 (Three) years of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 02 years post-qualification relevant work experience like maintenance and operation of engines, pumps, compressors, generating sets, laying and connecting high-pressure lines etc. in Drilling/Workover wells in any E and P company.

For Contractual Drilling/Workover Assistant Operator-

• Applicants must have passed Class 10 from the Government Recognized Education Board.
• Applicants must have a Trade certificate in any trade of Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter / Electrician / Turner/ Welder / Motor Mechanic / Machinist Trade from a recognized Institute.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 02 years post-qualification work experience in Drilling/Workover activities like rig floor operations such as making and lowering BHA, Double and Thribble Board operations like tripping in/tripping out tubular etc.

For Contractual Drilling/Workover Assistant Mechanic-

• Applicants must have Class 10 from the Government Recognized Education Board.
• Applicants must have a Trade certificate in Diesel Mechanic Trade from a Government Recognized Institute.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 02 years post-qualification relevant work experience like maintenance and operation of engines, pumps, compressors, generating sets, laying and connecting high-pressure lines etc. in Drilling/Workover wells in any E and P company.

Age Limitation for Oil India Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the eligible candidate’s minimum age limit for the mentioned positions should be 18 years and the maximum age limit should be between 40 to 45 years. 

Salary for Oil India Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the applicants who are chosen will receive a monthly salary of up to Rs. 19500.

Tenure for Oil India Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the engagement is made on a contract basis, and the selected applicants will be engaged for an initial period of 06 months, which can be extended by another period of 06 months based on departmental requirements, incumbent performance and conduct, medical fitness, and so on.

Mode of Selection for Oil India Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of Oil India Recruitment 2023, the selection of qualified candidates will be based on a walk-in practical/skill exam as well as a Personal Assessment. The candidate’s performance in the walk-in practical/skill test and Personal Assessment will determine the final decision. Any candidate who appears in the WalkinPractical/Skill Test cum Personal Assessments will not be awarded TA/DA.

The walk-in practical/skill test consists of a series of questions. Personal Assessment will be held from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM on October 15, 2023, at the Employee Welfare Office, Nehru Maidan, Oil India Limited, Duliajan, Assam. Latecomers will not be able to participate in the selection process.
