OPSC Recruitment 2023: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of an Assistant Executive Engineer in Group- ‘A’ of Odisha Engineering Service under the Water Resources Department. Online applications are invited from prospective candidates through the application form available on the official website of the Commission. As per OPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the recruitment is for a total of 362 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) and the recruitment is for a total of 29 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) under the Water Resources Department in Group-A of Engineering Service.
The selected candidates will be working in the Water Resources Department of the Government of Odisha and Works Department and H and UD Department under the Odisha Engineering Service. The position carries the pay scale in Level-12 of the pay matrix under the ORSP Rule with the usual dearness allowance and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time. As per OPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for candidates applying for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer under the Water Resources Department in Group-A of Engineering Service is between 21 years and 38 years as of 01.01.2023.
This means that the candidate must have been born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2002 to be eligible for the position. However, there is relaxation provided for candidates belonging to certain categories.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Socially and Educationally Backward Class (S.E.B.C.), Women, Ex-servicemen, and by 10 years for Persons With Disabilities category, whose permanent disability is 40% and more. The Persons with Disabilities shall be entitled to cumulative age relaxation of 10 years over and above the normal age relaxation.
As per OPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidate must have possessed Engineering in Civil for the post of AEE (Civil) and a Degree in Engineering in Mechanical for the post of AEE (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification from any University.
