Registration procedure in Flood Cess payment Portal

Kerala Flood Cess has been come into effect with effect from 01.08.2019. The tax payers shall collect and pay the Flood Cess amount along with the return for the month of August 2019 to be filed in September 2019. No option is provided in GSTR 3B return for the payment of Kerala Flood Cess. Hence, a separate module/link has been developed for the above purpose. The Kerala Flood Cess payment link is provided in the Website of Kerala State GST Department www.keralataxes.gov.in. For the filing of Kerala Flood Cess return {Form KFC A}, the tax payers have to create user credentials to login to the Kerala Flood Cess Portal provided in the website. For this purposethe taxpayer shall visit the above website {www.keralataxes.gov.in} and click on Kerala Flood Cess link provided there. The following window will be displayed.

For registering into Kerala flood Cess portal. Click here link shown at the bottom of the page (Marked in red ring above). The following window will be displayed.

Enter GSTIN of the taxpayer in the field provided and click on Generate OTP.

On clicking the OKbutton, OTP will be sent to the mobile number of the primary authorized signatory of the tax payer.

Enter the OTP and Captcha in the required fields and click Verify. The following window will be displayed.

Enter password and Confirm password. And then Click Submit. The strength of password shall be as follows.

1. Minimum of 8 characters

2. Shall contain at least one uppercase and one lower case letters,

3. Shall contain at least one digit and one special character

Information regarding successful registration will be displayed. Click on the here link (marked in red ring) to login to the portal. The following window will be displayed.

The taxpayer shall enter username and password created and captcha in the required fields and click Login to enter the KFC A return filing window.

The Kerala Flood CessReturn filing and Payment functionalities will be made available with effect from September 2019 onwards. Meanwhile all the taxpayers are advised to complete their registration in the Kerala Flood Cess Portal by following the above procedures
