SAI is inviting applications from eligible candidates for appointments in grades of Assistant Coach, Coach, Senior Coach, and High-Performance Coach on a contract and deputation (including short-term contract) basis. There are 214 vacancies available for the mentioned position.

Tenure for SAI Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of SAI Recruitment 2024, the tenure is mentioned below:

• For Deputation-
  The normal deputation tenure for Coach and Senior Coach is three (3) years, Chief Coach is four (4) years and High-Performance Coach is five (5) years, which can be extended up to seven (7) years (as per Recruitment Rules of SAI), depending on the requirements, or till the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier.

For Contract Period-

• For Assistant Coach- The initial contract for Assistant Coaches shall be for a period of one (1) year and extendable in a cycle of one year subject to a maximum extension of eight (8) years subject to the annual performance.
• For Coach, Senior Coach, High-Performance Coach- The initial contract shall be for a period of one (1) year and extendable in a cycle of one (1) year subject to a maximum extension of eight (8) years or till age of 65 years of applicant/employee whichever is earlier, subject to the annual performance review.

Essential Qualification and Experinece for SAI Recruitment 2024:

Referring to the official notification of SAI Recruitment 2024, the essential qualifications and experience for Coaches to be recruited on a Contract basis are as follows-

For Assistant Coach-

• The candidate should have Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or from any other recognized Indian/Foreign University.
• Olympics/Para Olympics/ International participation (As defined by SAI), OR
• Dronacharya Awardee.

Experience – NIL

For Coach/Senior Coach-

• The candidate should have Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or any other recognized Indian/Foreign University.
  Medal winner in Olympics/Para Olympics/World Championship or Twice Olympics Participation, OR
  Olympics/Para Olympics/ International participation (As defined by SAI), OR
  Dronacharya Awardee.

  Experience for COACH-

• The candidate should have Five (05) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for Diploma Holders or equivalent in Coaching from SAI NSNIS, Patiala or from any other recognized Indian / Foreign university OR
  Two (2) years of coaching experience in relevant sports for candidate participated in Olympics/ Paralympics and International events.

Experience for Senior Coach-

• The candidate should have Seven (7) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for Diploma Holders or equivalent in Coaching from SAI NSNIS, Patiala or from any other recognized Indian / Foreign university OR
• Two (2) years of coaching experience in relevant sports for medal winner in Olympics/ Paralympics or twice Olympics participation OR
• Four (4) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for candidate participated in Olympics / Paralympics and International events OR
• Two (2) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for candidates who are Dronacharya Awardee.

For High-Performance Coach-

• The candidate should have Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or from any other recognized Indian/Foreign University, OR
  Medal winner in Olympics/Para Olympics/World Championship or Twice Olympics Participation, OR
  Dronacharya Awardee.

Experience for High-Performance Coach-

• The candidate should have Fifteen (15) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for Diploma Holders or equivalent in Coaching from SAI NSNIS, Patiala or from any other recognized Indian/ Foreign University. OR
• Five (5) years of coaching experience in relevant sports for Medal winner in Olympics/ Paralympics or twice Olympic participation. OR
• Ten (10) years of coaching experience in relevant sports for candidate participated in Olympics/ Paralymics and International event. OR
• Five (5) Years of coaching experience in relevant sports for candidates who are Dronacharya Awardee.

Eligibility Criteria for SAI Recruitment 2024:

As mentioned in the official notification of SAI Recruitment 2024, the required eligibility criteria (Qualification and Experience on depuatation including short tern contract) are listed below.

For Assistant Coach-

• Officers working under the Central Govt. /State Govt. /UT Administration (Including their attached or subordinate offices)/ Sarall
  PSUs / Autonomous or Statutory Organization/ Universities/ Educational & research institutions holding: Analogues post in their parent cadre/department.
• Officers with atleast 5 Years of regular service in level 25,500-81100) (PB-1, Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2800).

For Coach-

• Officers working under the Central Govt. /State Govt. /UT Administration (Including their attached or subordinate offices)/PSUs / Autonomous or Statutory Organization/ Universities/ Educational & research institutions holding: Analogues posted in their parent cadre/department,
• Officers with regular service of 3 years in the pay Level-7 i.e. (Rs. 44900-142400/-) (PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4600/- Grade Pay).
• Officers with regular service of 8 years in the pay Level-6 i.e. (Rs. 35400-112400/-) (PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4200/- Grade Pay.

For Senior Coach-

• The candidate should have Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or from any other recognized Indian/Foreign University OR
• Medal winner in Olympics/Para Olympics/World Championship or Twice Olympics Participation OR
• Olympics/Para Olympics/ International participation (As defined by SAI) OR
  Dronacharya Awardee.

Experience: The candidate should have 2 Years’ experience of sports coaching in relevant sports from any Government/ Recognized Institute/ Private Organization.

For High-Performance Coach-

• The candidate should have Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or from any other recognized Indian/Foreign University OR
• Medal winner in Olympics/Para Olympics/World Championship or Twice Olympics Participation OR
• Olympics/Para Olympics/ International participation (As defined by SAI) OR Dronacharya Awardee.

Experience: The candidate should have 5 Years’ experience of sports coaching in relevant sports from any Government/ Recognized Institute/ Private Organization.
