SAIL Recruitment 2022: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has invited Applications in Online Mode from the Candidates Eligible for various Posts under the Executive and Non-Executive Cadre. The Candidates, who fulfill the Eligibility Criteria for the Posts to be applied may proceed with applying Online with the Required Scanned Testimonials and Application Fee. Online Registration of the Applications shall commence on 6th September 2022 (06.09.2022). The Last Date for Candidates’ submission of the Applications and Fee will close on 30th September 2022 (30.09.2022).

Selection Process: Selection to the Post opted by the Candidates shall be conducted through 1) Computer-Based Test followed by 2) Interview or Skill Test/Trade Test/PAT, etc., whichever wherever relevant to the Posts mentioned in SAIL Recruitment Advertisement.

i) Steel Authority of India Limited shall conduct an Online Written Test for Candidates Eligible under Executive and Non-Executive Posts. The Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 02 Segments would be held in Hindi/English on the date to be announced. The Computer Based Test (CBT) with 02-Hours’ Examination Duration will comprise 100 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for Aggregate 100 Marks as hereunder:

For Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) (HMV) & Fireman-cum-Fire Engine Driver (Trainee) Post:

1st Segment: Technical Knowledge Test: 20 Objective-Type MCQs = 20 Marks

2nd Segment: General Aptitude Test: 80 Objective-Type MCQs = 80 Marks

For all other Posts:
1st Segment: Technical Knowledge Test: 50 Objective-Type MCQs = 50 Marks

2nd Segment: General Aptitude Test: 50 Objective-Type MCQs = 50 Marks

The Candidates shall have to obtain Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT) as follows:

General (UR)/Economically Weaker Sections Posts will be determined on 50 Percentile Score Basis. For SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwBD Posts, 40 Percentile Score. The Qualifying Marks will be calculated separately for each Post or Discipline.

Educational Qualifications:

For Assistant Manager (Safety) (E-1): i) B.Engg/B.Tech. (Full-Time) in any Branch with Minimum Qualifying 65% Marks from the Government recognized University / Equivalent Institution.

Desirable Experience: Practical Experience of working in a Factory for a Minimum of Two (02) years post-acquiring Degree in Engineering.

ii) Hold a Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety from any Institute duly recognized the State Government.

iii) Has Adequate knowledge in Odia Dialect.

Other Trade related Posts: Matriculation in respective Trades.

In case of Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation), Operator-cum-Technician, Surveyor, Mining Foreman, Fire Operator Trainee (S-3) Posts Graduation or Diploma in Engineering with Minimum Qualifying 50% Marks in respect of General Merit Candidates.

Age Limits: i) For Assistant Manager (Safety) and Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation) (S-3) Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 30 Years.

ii)For All Other Non-Executive Post Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 28 Years

iii) Relaxation in Upper Age Limits for Ex-Service-Men and all other Reserved Communities is mentioned in the Advertisement.

Pay Scales:

For Assistant Manager (Safety) (E-1) Post: Pay Scale: Rs.50000–3%–160000.00 and Post completion of Service/Training the Pay Scale shall be raised to Rs.60000–3%–180000.00.

For Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator) (S–3)/Mining Foreman (S–3)/Surveyor (S–3) Rs.26600-3% to Rs.38920.00 (S-3)

Mining Mate (S–1) Rs.25070-3% to Rs.35070.00 (S-1)
