SAIL Recruitment 2024: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is inviting interested and engrossed candidates for the post Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – (OCTT). As mentioned in the official notification of SAIL Recruitment 2024, there are 314 vacancies for the mentioned positions. The educational qualification is different for each discipline. The candidates applying for the mentioned position should have relevant years of experience in their appropriate field. The minimum age limit for applying for the mentioned positions is 18 years. As mentioned in the official notification of SAIL Recruitment 2024, the selected candidates will be expected to participate in two years of on-the-job training, which may be extended for an additional two years if necessary. They would receive a combined remuneration of Rs.16100 for the first year of training and Rs.18300 for the second year of training during the training duration. In accordance with corporate policies, they will also be eligible for free medical care, leave, etc.

OCT (Trainee) (Metallurgy):
The candidates should have Matriculation with 03 years (full-time) Diploma in Metallurgy Engineering from Government recognized university/ institute.
OCT (Trainee) (Electrical):
The candidates should have Matriculation with 03 years (full-time) Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government recognized university/ institute.
OCT (Trainee) (Mechanical):
The candidates should have Matriculation with 03 years (full-time) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government recognized university/ institute.
OCT (Trainee) (Instrumentation):
The candidates should have a Matriculation with 03 year (full-time) Diploma in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control / Instrumentation and Automation Engineering from Government recognized university/ institute.

As shown in the official notification of SAIL Recruitment 2024, the applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of CBT (Computer Based Test) and Skill Test conducted by the committee. Date, Time and Test Venue for the Computer Based Test (CBT)/ Skill Test will be intimated to eligible candidates through an Admit Card/ Call Letter and information shall be shared through E-mail/ SMS and the SAIL website.
As stated in the official notification of SAIL Recruitment 2024, the candidates belonging to the category of General/ OBC/ EWS have to pay an amount of Rs.500 as an application fee and the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ ST/ PWBD/ ESM/ Departmental candidates have to pay an amount of Rs.200 as an application fee. The application fee will not be refunded.

After successful submission of the online application, candidates are required to download the system-generated Application Form with a unique Application ID / Number.
