SEBI Launches Mobile App ‘Saa₹thi’ For Investor Education

At a gathering held in Mumbai today, Shri Ajay Tyagi, Chairman of SEBI, inaugurated “Saathi”–SEBI’s Mobile App on Investor Education. “This Mobile App is yet another endeavour of SEBI with a view to providing investors with knowledge about the securities market,” Shri Tyagi remarked during the launch of the SEBI App. With the recent influx of private investors into the market, and, more significantly, with a large percentage of trading taking place on mobile phones, this App will be useful in quickly accessing pertinent information. I am confident that in the future, this App will be popular with investors, particularly young ones.”

The SEBI Mobile App intends to raise investor understanding of essential concepts in the securities market, such as the KYC Process, trading and settlement, mutual funds, recent market developments, and investor grievance redress mechanisms, among others. The app is accessible in two languages: Hindi and English. The App may be downloaded for Android and iOS from the Play Store and App Store, respectively.

Shri Tyagi emphasised the need of continuing to update the app’s content and making it available in regional languages in the future.

The occasion was attended by Shri S.K. Mohanty, Whole Time Member, Executive Directors, and other SEBI officials.
