Staff Selection Commission Recruitment 2022: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited Online Applications for recruitment to the Post Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying & Contracts) in various Organizations and Departments. Such persons, who meet the Eligible Criteria and deem themselves as Eligible for Junior Engineer Posts, and desirous of Online Registration, may apply Online following the Staff Selection Commission issued Instructions. The Last Date for Online Application/Registration will close on 2nd September 2022. The Deadline for Online Fee also concurs with Online Application/Registration.
The Staff Selection will host in November 2022 Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination 2022 for selection to the Post opted by the Candidates for the Department and Organization.
SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2022 Examination Scheme:
The Staff Selection Commission shall host tentatively in November 2022. The Staff Selection Commission will host an All-India Open Competitive Examination for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) for various Ministries/ Departments/Organizations in the Government of India.
Selection Process: The Staff Selection Commission notified Selection of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying & Contracts) consists of 02 Stages and 02 Papers for Aggregate 500 Marks; i.e., Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination 2022 as narrated in the subsequent lines.
i) Paper-I: Objective-Type Computer-Based Test (with 120/160 Minutes Exam Duration) consisting of i) General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for 50 Marks); ii) General Awareness (50 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for 50 Marks) and iii) ‘Optional’ Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) Or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) Or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical) comprising 100 Objective-Type MCQs for Maximum 100 Marks.
ii) Optional Paper-II Written Examination for Maximum 300 Marks (with 120/160 Minutes Exam Duration) Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) Or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) Or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical).
Mode of Selection for SSC Recruitment 2022:
a) Based on the Normalized Marks Scored in the (Paper-I); i.e. Computer-Based Examination, the SSC will shortlist the candidates Category-wise, to appear in Paper-II.
b) Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II by the Candidates are: i) Un-Reserved:30% Marks; ii) OBC/EWS: 25% and iii) SCs/STs: 20% Marks.
c) The Staff Selection Commission shall make Final Selection and Allocation of the Ministries/Departments/Organizations to the Candidates on the basis of their individual Performance in Paper-I and Paper-II and the Preference of the Ministries/Departments/Organizations exercised by them.
Final Allotment of the Posts are made on the basis of Merit-cum-preferences of the Post(s)/Department(s).

Name of the Post: Junior Engineer Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted)
The Staff Selection Commission shall stipulate the Vacancy Numbers in due course of time and with the same would be displayed in the SSC Website.
Pay Scale: Level-6 (Rs 35400 to Rs.112400) of Pay Matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission
Upper Age Limits: For the Candidates belonging to the General/Un-Reserved Category Maximum Age is 30 or 32 Years according to the Employer Government Organization’s Requirement. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit specific to Reserved Community and also in regards to Ex-Service-Men and Disabled Defence Personnel detailed in the SSC Recruitment Advertisement 2022.
Educational Qualification: The Applicants with Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical & Quantity Surveying & Contracts) from any duly recognized Institute/University. or 03-Years’ Diploma in respective Branch/Discipline. Or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical, etc.
