SSC Recruitment 2023: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is recruiting aspirants to fill up the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations including their Attached offices, Subordinate offices and Statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various States and Union Territories. As mentioned in the Official notification of SSC Recruitment 2023, candidates need to pay an Application Fee of Rs.100 whereas, Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fees can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card. As given in the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2023, the number of vacant seats available for the given post is 2567.
In accordance with the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2023, the minimum age limit for the above post is 18 years and the maximum age limit for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ is 30 years and the maximum age limit for Stenographer Grade ‘D’ is 27 years. According to the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2023, candidates will be chosen on the basis of Online Examination and candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to take the Stenography Skill Test. As given in the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2023, candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Eligible and interested applicants must be submitted only online mode at the official website of SSC Headquarters along with all the relevant documents on or before the deadline. The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only. The questions will be set both in English and Hindi.
Candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to take the Stenography Skill Test. Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi (as specified in the online Application Form) at a speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
