TISS Says National Eligibility Test (NET) Score Will Consider for PhD Programme from Batch 2024-25
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is a multi-campus public university in Mumbai, India. The National Eligibility Test (NET) score will be taken into consideration by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences for PhD program admission for the 2024–25 batch, per the decision made by the UGC at its 578th meeting on March 13, 2024. Increasing transparency and simplifying the admissions procedure are the objectives of this effort.
In the past, candidates pursuing Ph. D.s were allowed to take TISS’s Research Aptitude Test (RAT). Henceforth, TISS won’t conduct their entrance test (RAT) for Ph.D. admission. The weightage of the NET score will be 70% and the weightage of the Personal Interview will be 30%. The comprehensive notice for the June 2024 NET test will be released soon by the UGC/National Testing Agency (NTA). Regarding more details, candidates are advised to visit the official website of NET.
