TNPSC Recruitment 2022: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has sought the Applications through Online from the Eligible Candidates for Recruitment to Forest Apprentice “Group VI” (Post Code No. 1652). Those Applicants duly fulfilling the Eligibility for the Post Forest Apprentice remain desirous of applying may submit Applications following the Instructions. The Last Date for Online Registration/Application befalls 6th September 2022 (06.09.2022). There are 10 Vacancies (including 02 Carried Forward Vacancies).

Name of the Service and Service Code: Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service (Post Code: 008)

No. of Vacancies: 10 (Including 02 Carried Forward)

Pay Scale: Rs.37700.00 to Rs.1,38,500.00 (Level-20)

Eligibility Criteria (As On 01.04.2022)

Upper Age Limit: General (UR) Category Candidates should be Minimum 18 Years and must not exceed 32 Years. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit for Reserved Community up to 05 years (i.e., 37 Years. For Ex-Service-Men Relaxation up to 07 Years (i.e., 39 Years).

Educational Qualification: The Candidate should have in possession either a) Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or its Equivalent Degree of any University Duly Recognized by the University Grants Commission Or b) Bachelor’s Degree or its Equivalent Degree from any duly recognized University in any one of the Subjects; viz., Agriculture/Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/Botany/Chemistry/Computer Applications/Computer Science/Engineering (All Engineering Subjects including Agricultural Engineering)/Environmental Science/Geology/Horticulture/Marine Biology/Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Wildlife Biology/Zoology

Preferential Qualification: In case of the candidates with the Qualification referred to in Item (a) in Column 1) are not available for Selection, then the Candidates with the Qualification referred to in Item b) in Column 1)will be considered for Selection in respective Communal Categories.

Physical Measurable Standards:

Height: Men 163 Cms And Women 150 Cms.

Chest Measurement: Male: Inflation 89 Cms And Deflation 84 Cms. Female Inflation 84 Cms And Deflation 79 Cms.

Height: Men 152 Cms And Women 145 Cms. *In case of Scheduled Tribes and races; such as Assamese, Bhutanese, Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Kumoanis, Ladakhese, Mizo, Naga, Nepalese, Sikkimese and those from Arunachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti and Meghalaya.

Physical Test:
It is Mandatory for the Candidate to undergo a Physical Test. The Physical Test will necessitate Candidate’s Walking over 25 Km and 16 Km to be completed in Four hours by Male and Female Applicants respectively. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests shall conduct Candidates’ Walking Test, which will be followed by the Oral Test.

TNPSC Forest Apprentice Written Test Scheme 2022:

Selection Process:  Selection to the Post of Forest Apprentice consists of 02 Stages; i.e., 1) Computer-Based Test or OMR Written Examination for Maximum 750 Marks followed by Interview and Records for Maximum 100 Marks, Aggregate 850 Marks.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will host ON 3rd and 12th December 2022 in Forenoon and Afternoon Sessions, a Computer-Based Test Or an OMR Answer Sheet Test for the Candidates. The OMR Response Sheet / Computer-Based Examination consists of 03 Papers for Total 750 Marks and will comprise Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions narrated hereunder:

Paper I: Part: A: Compulsory Tamil Language Qualification for 150 Marks comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type.
Part B: Consists of i) General Studies (Code No. 003) having 75 Multiple Choice Questions And ii) Aptitude and Mental Ability Test containing 25 Multiple Choice Question; i.e, Total 100 Objective-Type MCQs for Maximum 150 Marks. Part A & Part B with 03-Hours’ Duration.

Paper – II with 03-Hours’ Exam Duration, Optional Subject–1 comprises 200 Multiple Choice Questions for Total 300 Marks

Paper – III with 03-Hours’ Exam Duration, Optional Subject–2 comprises 200 Objective-Type MCQs for Total 300 Marks

The Candidates belonging to all Categories will have to obtain Minimum 60 Qualifying Marks. However, General (Un-Reserved Category) shall have to secure Minimum Qualifying 340 Marks in Papers II and III.  All other Reserved Community Candidates will have to obtain Minimum Qualifying 255 Marks in both Papers II & III.
