TNPSC Recruitment 2022: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited Applications from Candidates for various Posts. Those who deem to have fulfilled the Eligibility Criteria specific to the Posts 1) Assistant Statistical Investigator, 2) Statistical Compiler and 3) Computer may apply Online. The Last Date for receipt of the duly completed Applications with Scanned Testimonials and Fee Amount is stipulated to close on 14th October 2022 as mentioned in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Recruitment Notification 202.

Selection Procedure:

Selection to various Posts will be conducted in a Single Stage, based on the Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Written Examination subject to the Rule of Reservation of Appointments. Rule of Reservation Not Applicable for the Post of Statistical Compiler as the Cadre Strength is 1.

TNPSC OMR Answer Sheet Examination Scheme 2022:

TN Public Service Commission shall host on 29th January 2022 an OMR Answer Sheet Based Single Objective-Type Examination for 450 Marks. TNPSC will conduct the OMR Answer Sheet Based Objective-Type Examination in Fore-Noon Session (FNS) After-Noon Session (ANS).

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission shall conduct at various District-wise Examination Centers a Single Stage OMR Answer Sheet Based Objective-Type Written Test. The Single Stage OMR Answer Sheet Based Test (with 03-Hours’ Examination Duration for each Paper) consists of 02 Papers for Aggregate 450 Marks (Paper-I for 300 Marks + Paper II: Part A & Part B for 150 Marks) explained hereunder:

Single Stage Examination Pattern:
The Multiple Choice Questions in Paper I and Part–B of Paper II TN Public Service Commission will set both Bilingual (Tamil and English).

Examination Mode: OMR Answer Sheet Based
Exam Duration: 03 Hours; Aggregate 450 Marks (Paper I: 300 Marks & Paper II comprising Part A and Part II: 150 Marks)

Paper – I (Objective-Type): 200 Multiple Choice Questions; Maximum 300 Marks

(Degree Standard Subject Paper) Any one of the following Subjects:

i) Statistics (Code No. 274)

i) Mathematics (Code No.276): Paper- II (Objective-Type) 200 Multiple Choice Questions)

Part-A: Exam Duration: 03 Hours; 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type; 300 Marks

SSLC Standard Tamil Eligibility Test: 100 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions; 150 Marks)

Part-B:
General Studies (Code No.003): 100 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions; 150 Marks)
i) (Degree Standard) General Studies: 75 Multiple Choice Questions AND ii) (SSLC Standard) Aptitude & Mental Ability Test: 25 Multiple Choice Questions

Educational Qualification:
The Applicant should have in possession Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics; Or Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics /Computer Science / Economics/ Computer Applications with Statistics as an Ancillary /Allied Subject; Or

Any Master’s Degree with Post-Graduate Degree in Operations Research / Econometrics / Mathematical Economics.

Provided that the Candidates with the above-stated Degrees other than Statistics are expected to be Fully conversant with the Basic Level Concepts of Statistics including Bayes’ Theorem in Probability, Probability Distributions; like Binomial, Poisson, Normal, t, Chi-Square & F, Probability Generating Functions, Moment Generating Function, Theory of Estimation, Testing of Hypothesis using various Statistical Tests; viz., Z, t, F, Chi-Square, Basics of Multiple Regression and Multivariate Analyses and Sampling Design. In addition, the Candidate should have the Basic Skills in using MS-Excel for Statistical Data Analysis.

02) Computer (Code No.3238) under Tamil Nadu Public Health Subordinate Service (Code No.053):

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics.

Pay Scale: Rs.19500 to Rs.71900 (Level-8)

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Statistics

1) One-Time Registration Fee (OTRF) with 05-Years’ Validity Rs.150.00
