TNPSC Recruitment 2022: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited the Applications in Online Mode from the Candidates fulfilling the Eligible for Group-V.A Posts Junior Assistant or Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service (Code 007). Those persons who convincingly satisfy the Eligibility Criteria for the Posts notified in TN Public Service Commission Recruitment 2022, and wish to apply, are encouraged to apply as per the Instructions cited in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Recruitment 2022. The End Date for Candidates’ Online Application submission closes on 21st September 2022.

Recruitment Process: The Posts of Assistant Section Officer/Assistant in Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service included in Group-V.A Services shall be filled through Recruitment by Transfer from among the Holders of the Posts of Junior Assistant or Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service/Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.

Selection Process: TN Public Service Commission shall conduct the Selection for the Posts including various Methodologies. Based on the Candidates’ Marks obtained by in the Written Examination and subject to the Rule of Reservation of Appointments (applying to Each Post separately), Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission post-preparation of a Category-specific and Community-wise Tentative List of the Eligible candidates will publish on the Website. TN Public Service Commission, after Verification of their Testimonials including their Certificates already uploaded in concurrence with Online Application/Registration, shall summon the Eligible Candidates for verification of the Testimonials in the form of the Original Certificates followed by Counselling for Selection.

TNPSC Junior Assistant/Assistant Examination Scheme 2022

TN Public Service Commission will host on 18th December 2022 (Fore-Noon Session and After-Noon Session) a Descriptive Written Examination consisting of 02 Papers for Maximum 200 Marks. Paper I (General Tamil) and Paper II (General English) of Degree Standard each carrying 100 Marks, totaling Maximum 200 Marks shall span 03 Hours’ Examination Duration for Selection to the Post(s) Junior Assistant or Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service / Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service. The Minimum Qualification 60 Marks to be obtained in both Papers have been mandated by TN Public Service Commission.

Educational Qualification(s):

The Applicant Candidates should have in possession the following Qualifications specific to the Posts opted:

1) Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Other than Law and Finance Department)

a) Holding A Bachelor’s Degree from any University duly recognized by the University Grants Commission.

b) Having Drafting Experience for Minimum 05-Years in the post of Junior Assistant or Assistant or in both of the Posts put together.

2) Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Finance Department)

a) In possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Economics or Statistics from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission;

b) At least 05-Years’ Service in the Category of Assistant, inclusive of the Services rendered in the Post of Junior Assistant, in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.

3) Assistant in Secretariat (Other than Law and Finance Department)

a) Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree of any University or Institution duly recognised by the University Grants Commission.

b) Minimum 03-Years’ Service post-acquiring Bachelor’s Degree, in the category of Junior Assistant or in the category of Assistant or in both Categories put together, in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or in Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.

4) Assistant in Secretariat (Finance Department)

a) Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Economics or Statistics from any University duly recognized by the University Grants Commission.

b) At least 03-Years’ Service rendered either in the Category of Junior Assistant or in the Category of Assistant or in both Categories taken together, in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.
