Overview:

Uber is hiring an experienced Program Manager I, Tech at their Hyderabad location. As a Program Manager I, Tech for Tech Support function in GSS, you will be responsible for building, implementing and optimising global tech support programs for different products and teams. You will coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, quality and community operations teams. This role is in Hyderabad based and involves collaborating with teams around the world. This role requires both technology proficiency and experience with handling global teams, using vendor partners or third-party contractors/consultants!

What will you be doing:

Facilitate and lead high-impact initiatives to improve product quality and the product customer experience

Collaborate with key stakeholders for scoping and prioritizing development activities based on the business impact and team OKRs

Use support data to suggest operational improvements and make product-focused decisions

Technically savvy and able to ramp up on new technologies quickly

Manage timelines, deadlines, feature sets, risks, change requests, releases, and track project budget and financial metrics

Status reporting across senior management and cross-functional teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals

Qualifications for this Job:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or other technical fields.

4 years work experience in leading cross-functional global projects, stakeholders and actionable insights

Solid understanding of BigData tools like Hive, Presto, Spark, ETL modelling etc.

Proficiency in debugging engineering pipelines.

Good grasp of programming languages and openness to cross-collaborate

Knowledge in Web/API development and maintenance

Experience building chatbots or self-serve models is a bonus.
