UPSC Recruitment 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is hiring eligible candidates for the post of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (General Central Service, Group C, Non-Gazetted,  Non-Ministerial). The recruitment will be on a deputation or absorption or re-employment basis. As per the official UPSC Recruitment 2022 notification, there are only 4 vacancies for this post.

The last date for application submission is within 60 days of the publication of the circular in the Employment News. The candidates must also apply online on the website of UPSC. Applications not forwarded through proper channels or those received without the requisite certificates and necessary documents will not be entertained.

Name of the Post for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is recruiting for the post of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (General Central Service, Group C, Non-Gazetted,  Non-Ministerial).

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

1. For Deputation or Absorption

From amongst the regular Despatch Rider and Multi Tasking Staff working in the office of the Union Public Service Commission who fulfill the qualification mentioned below:

  • Possession of valid driving license for motor cars;
  • Knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle);
  • Experience driving a motor car for at least 3 years; and
  • 10th standard pass.

2. Deputation or Re-employment (For Armed Forces Personnel)

The Armed Forces Personnel who are due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and possess qualifications and experience as mentioned below:

  • Possession of valid driving license for motor cars;
  • knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle);
  • Experience driving a motor car for at least three years; and
  • 10th standard pass.

Shall also be considered and if selected, such officers shall be given deputation terms up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces and after that, they may be continued on re-employment terms.

Age Limit for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

The upper age limit for this recruitment shall not be more than 56 years.

Salary for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

The monthly consolidated salary for this recruitment will be between Rs 19900 – 63200 (Level-2 of Pay Matrix).

Duration for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ Department of Central Government shall not exceed 3 years.

How to Apply for UPSC Recruitment 2022:

Application (in duplicate) only in the prescribed proforma (Annexure – I) of the eligible candidates whose services can be spared immediately on selection, together with the certificate from the Forwarding Authority (in proforma Annexure – II) along with the following documents:

  • Integrity certificate
  • List of major/ minor penalties imposed if any, on the official during the last 10 years; (if no penalty has been imposed a “NILcertificate should be enclosed).
  • Vigilance clearance certificate.
  • Attested photocopies of APARs for the last five years (2016-17 to 2020-21) (attested on each page by an officer, not below the rank of an Under Secretary to the Government of India).

The required documents mentioned at the end of the Annexure may be forwarded to Sh. Nitesh Ranjan, Under Secretary (Admn. II), Room No.1, Main Building, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, within 60 days of the publication of the circular in the Employment News. The candidates must also apply online on the website of UPSC. Applications not forwarded through proper channels or those received without the requisite certificates and necessary documents will not be entertained.
