Essential Qualifications and Experience for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

For Scientific Officer (Electrical)-

• The candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Physics or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience–

• The candidate must have 01 year’s experience in advanced electrical or electronics measurements in a Laboratory or one year’s experience in the field of testing and development of Electrical Stores like motors or switchgear or Lamp and Photometry or Batteries or Cables or Electrical Accessories etc. Experience in the calibration of Electrical measuring instruments and equipment as per Indian Standard or International Standardisation Organization or International Electrotechnical Commission Norms.

For Technical Officer-

• The candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Computer Application or Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized University or institution OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Technology in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized University or Institute.

For Senior Lecturer (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)-

• A basic university or equivalent qualification is included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956 and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
• The candidate must have a degree of M.D. (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)/M.S.(Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from a recognized University/
  Institution or equivalent.

Experience–

• The candidate must have 03 years of teaching experience in the concerned Specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/Registrar, Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution.

Pay Scale for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Referring to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the pay scale is indicated below:

For Scientific Officer (Electrical)-

• The chosen candidate will receive a salary on Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.

For Technical Officer-

• The chosen candidate will receive a salary on Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

For Senior Lecturer (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)-

• The chosen candidate will receive a salary on Level 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

Age Limit for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

For Scientific Officer (Electrical)-

• The age limit should be 33 years.
