UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Government of India has sought Online Applications from Individuals duly Eligible for Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) Post Group ‘A’ with 03 Vacancies to be filled up in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification appended herewith. The USPC Recruitment 2023 Official Vacancy has arisen for Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) Post, to be filled up in the Pay Matrix 11 Level of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
The UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has arisen for 01 Post Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) in the General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, (Non-Ministerial) Post Classification. According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, among the Willing Officers, those meeting the Eligibility prescribed for Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) Post may apply and complete up to 13.07.2023 Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process. Accordingly, Willing and Eligible Candidates may complete the ORA Process following the Instructions prescribed therein.

According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, those selected as Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) shall be entitled to Monthly Salary hereinunder:
Pay Level-11 of the Central Pay Scale plus such Allowances, as may be sanctioned by the Government from time to time, Plus NPA as per Rules.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Applicant, as on the Closing Date for Online Recruitment Application Process, should be aged as narrated hereunder:
1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed 50 Years.
2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience prescribed for the Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) Post on the basis of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Applicants are as follows:
Essential Criteria:
The Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:
Essential Eligibility Criteria:
I) Educational:
a) A Basic University or Equivalent Qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (102 of 1956) and must have been Registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
b) Medicinae Doctor Or M.D. (Medicine)/Medicinae Doctor Or M.D. (General Medicine) from any Duly Recognized University/Institution or Equivalent.
II) Experience:
03 (Three) Years’ Teaching Experience in the Concerned Speciality post-obtained Post-Graduate Qualification as a Lecturer/Registrar/Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in any Accredited Recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.
Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification with regard to Experience with regard to the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received relatively in large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria for restricting the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:
As has been explained in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:
A) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain subject to the Minimum Qualifying Marks for I) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS); II) Other Backward Community and III) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s).
B) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the following is the Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:
I) The EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
