UPSC Recruitment 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is accepting applications for the Indian Forest Service Examination. Candidates are required to qualify for advancement to the second stage of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (written and interview) by appearing in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam. Candidates who wish to apply for the Indian Forest Service Examination as well as for the Civil Services Examination can apply by completing a common online application form, provided they meet the eligibility requirements. As mentioned in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2024, the examination is being conducted to fill near about 150 vacancies. Candidates falling under Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, and Persons with Benchmark Disability categories will have the relaxation on the reserved seats, talking about the government exams as per the rules.
As per the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidates should not be less than 21 years old and should not be more than 32 years old. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following fields like zoology, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics, animal husbandry and veterinary science from a recognized institution/ university. According to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2024, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair, and Shimla will be the main centers for the examination. Willing and eligible candidates for UPSC Recruitment 2024 can apply online through the official website. Also, the last date for applying online is 05th March 2024. For candidates falling under the category of general, OBC, and EWS candidates there is an application fee of Rs. 100, whereas, for SC, ST, PwBD, and women candidates, there is no application fee.

Referring to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidate is required to not be below 21 years or above 32 years. Candidates failing to fulfil the age criteria will not be allowed to take the examination.
To apply for UPSC Recruitment 2024, eligible male candidates under the Gen/OBC/EWS category will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100. The candidates under SC/ST/PwBD and the female candidates are however relaxed from paying any kind of application fee.
