WCL Recruitment 2023: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has called in Applications from Seasoned and Competent Chief Executives and Chief Executive Officers Eligible for Appointment on the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Post on a Fixed Term Basis (FTB) in Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) notified vide this WCL Recruitment 2023 Notification Dated 05.04.2023. According to the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement issued notified 01 Vacancy for Chairman and Managing Director Post shall be filled up with an Appointment of a Suitable Officer in the Pay Scale Rs. 180000 to 320000 Per Month (IDA) to be effective on 01.02.2024 coinciding with occurrence of the Vacancy in Western Coalfields Limited. According to the PESB-issued WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Vacancy to be filled up with Appointment in CMD Position shall occur on 01.02.2024.
According to the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Willing Experienced Officers with Eligibility for the Chairman Managing Director Post in Western Coalfields Limited should apply through Proper Channel following the Instructions in the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued. The Last Date in accordance with the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Willing Applicants to complete the Online Application Registration Process shall close on 12.06.2023.

As has been notified in the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification 01 Vacancy slated to occur on 12.06.2024 shall be filled up for 05-Years’ Fixed Term span from the Date of Joining:

According to the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, post-Selection, the Officer to be appointed as Chairman & Managing Director will be entitled to the following Pay Scale.
Pay Scale: Rs.1.80 -3.20 Lac Per Month (IDA)
Note: The Minimum Length of Services essential in the Eligible Pay Scale for the Chairman and Managing Director Post is 01 (One) Year in respect of the Internal Candidates, and as regards Others (External), the same is 02 (Two) Years as on 01.02.2024.
On the basis of the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Age Limits stipulated for Internal and External Candidates are explained hereunder:
Superannuation Age Limit: 60 Years (As on the VOD 01.02.2024)
A) Internal Candidates: Minimum 45 Years (and Maximum 02-Years’ Residual Service as on the Date of Occurrence of the Vacancy) with reference to the Date of Superannuation.
B) Other Candidates: Minimum 45 Years (and Maximum 03-Years’ Residual Service as on the Vacancy Occurrence Date) with regard to the Superannuation Date.
The Eligible Applicants should have gained the following Essential Eligibility in accordance with the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification explained in brief hereunder:
Essential Educational Qualification:
Educational Qualification: The Applicant should be an Engineering Graduate/Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/Post Graduate/Graduate with MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Management from any Leading Institute.
Experience: The Applicant should have gained Minimum 05-Years’ Cumulative Experience/Exposure during last 10 Years in Finance/Business Development/Production/Operations/Marketing/HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Project Management in a large Organization of Repute. Experience in the Coal/Mining Sector is a Desirable Experience.
As mentioned in the WCL Recruitment 2023 Notification, selection on to CMD Post shall be carried out through an Interview for Appointment.
For Appointment on Chairman & Managing Director Post, the Public Enterprises Selection Board will attach Due Preference to the Candidates serving or having rendered their respective Services in any of the Listed Companies notified through the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
Appointment Tenure: Post-Selection Appointment the Incumbent’s Tenure as Chairman Managing Director shall remain 05 (Five) Years from the Date of Joining/up to the Date of Superannuation/until further Government Orders, Whichever be Earlier as may also be read in the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
Note 1: Eligible Applicants, who in the event of Selection for the Post Chairman and Managing Director may be spared for Appointment, should apply through the “Proper Channel”.
Note 2: The Applicant on the Date of Application as well as on the Interview Date should be in Employment in a Regular Capacity, not in a Contractual or Ad-hoc Capacity in the Following Concerns:
I) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a Full-Time Functional Director on the Board of a CPSE);
II) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
III) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE), where the Annual Turnover is *Rs 1000 Crore or more;
On the basis of the WCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligible Applicants with Desire for WCL CMD Post should apply Online subsequent to the Online Application Print-out of the Online Application needed to be submitted in the Offline Mode through the PESB Online Recruitment Application Portal as has been explained in the subsequent Part:
