28-Year-Old Chartered Accountant Commits Suicide by Inhaling Helium Gas Due to Workplace Stress
Recently, a chartered accountant committed suicide due to workplace stress in a service apartment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Hyderabad. The individual used a helium cylinder to commit suicide, according to the investigation performed by police. The chartered accountant was only 28 years old and named Suresh Reddy Nirmal, a native of Kamareddy district in Telangana.
Suresh dies by suicide on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He ended his life at this early age, which indicates a gradual increase in mental health crises linked to the workplace. Suresh was caught dead in a service apartment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Hyderabad. He was placed at JWC in Manikonda.
According to the reports by police, the young chartered accountant used a helium cylinder to perform this action. Before taking his life, he also left behind a suicide note, describing the worst load and pressure he bore at his workplace. In his note, he also wrote how much he regretted choosing chartered accountancy as a profession. Once, it was his dream to become a chartered accountant, and slowly, his dream turned into a source of pain. The police reported, “He was not interested in working.” The note also included that Suresh had been experiencing suicidal thoughts for a long period.
According to the South First, Kondapur Sub-Inspector (SI) Raja Shekar Reddy, Suresh took a huge step on Tuesday night. The police said, "He booked a service apartment at the SV Serenity apartment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on the day and penned a suicide note." Further said, "The hotel authorities informed the police of the death on June 18, and we registered a case." The inspector said Suresh used a helium cylinder to act, and before the incident, he met his brother and told him he was going to see his sister.
This case came a few months after a similar case in which a 33-year-old man named Aman Jain committed suicide by jumping from the 32nd floor of his residential building. The investigation revealed that the same reason (workplace stress) was involved in his death.
There is one more similar suicide case: Koti Satyalavanya, who was employed as an assistant manager at a Hyderabad bank, committed suicide due to excessive work pressure. The investigation also said a deep workload contributed to Satyalavanya's death.
