50 Days and Still Waiting: GST Dept Sleeps on GSTN Non-Core Amendments!
Recently, a taxpayer has expressed his concern about the GST Non-Core Amendment. The taxpayer shared a post on platform X, stating that he submitted a Non-Core Amendment request on the GST portal on April 29, 2025; however, the request is in pending status.
The taxpayer also raised a ticket (G-202505021809655), but it did not solve his issue. He further added that he also contacted Infosys GSTN many times, but he did not get any response from their team.

Fields of the registration application except legal name of the business, Addition/ deletion of stakeholder details and principal place of business or Additional place of business are called non-core fields.
Non-core fields are available for editing, and changes in it are auto populated in registration of the taxpayer. No approval is required from the Tax Official if any amendments are made to these fields by the taxpayers.
Problems with GST Registration Many taxpayers and businesses face difficulties while getting a GST registration and amending their GST Registration. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), in one of its recent instructions, shared that it has received many complaints about the difficulties being faced by taxpayers while registering under GST.
