NIOT Recruitment 2022: Salary up to 216600, Check Post, Eligibility and Other Details

NIOT Recruitment 2022:  National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) is hiring eligible candidates of Indian Nationals for the post of Scientist, Scientist Assistant, Technician and Junior Translation. There are a total of 05 vacancies for the post. The monthly remuneration paid is up to Rs. 216600.

Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply ONLINE through the official website of NIOT. Upon allotment of the application number, the candidate has to take a printout of the application and send the same duly signed application form along with self-attested copies of the certificates to the Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology, Velachery – Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai – 600100.

The last date for submitting the application form is 26th December 2022. Applications received after the due date and incomplete applications will be REJECTED.

Name of Post, Qualification and Other Details for NIOT Recruitment 2022:

1- Post Name-  Scientist-F (Mechanical)

Age Limit- The maximum age limit is 50 years.

Pay Scale- Pay Level 13A (Rs. 131100 – 216600) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Qualification- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level.

Desirable- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience- Sixteen years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any field of technology or engineering.

Desirable-  Experience in underwater vehicles, underwater systems, launching and recovery of such systems from onboard ships, floating body design and testing, and in policy-making, planning or management, etc., related to the execution of projects in ocean technology and engineering.

2- Post Name- Scientific Assistant (Mechanical)

Age Limit- The maximum age limit is 28 years.

Pay Scale- Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Qualification- Three (03) years of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University. Basic knowledge of computers.

Experience- Two years of experience in handling fabrication, assembly, and testing mechanical systems for sub-sea or surface\ applications, quality control management for such systems or, Operation and maintenance of navigational systems, dry docking, or execution of projects in the area of ocean technology and engineering.

3- Post Name- Scientific Assistant (Electronics & Communication)

Age Limit- The maximum age limit is 28 years.

Pay Scale- Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Qualification- Three (03) years of Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University.

Basic knowledge of computers.

Experience- Two years of Experience relating to Assembly, Integration and testing of Electronics Systems/sub-systems, data acquisition systems/sensors, and transducers

4- Post Name- Technician Grade – A (Electronics / Instrumentation)

Age Limit- The maximum age limit is 25 years.

Pay Scale- Pay Level 02 (Rs.19900 – 63200) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Qualification- ) 10th Class Pass (Secondary / Metric) of a recognized Board and ITI course approved by the National Council for Vocational Training or equivalent from recognized Institutions.

Basic knowledge of computers.

Experience- Experience of two years in the relevant field.

5- Post Name- Junior Translation Officer

Age Limit- The maximum age limit is 35 years.

Pay Scale- Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Qualification- Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than English or Hindi, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office including Government of India undertaking.

Note- The selection is based on an interview, written test and skill test. The process of selection is different for different categories.
