Invesco is hiring an experienced Senior Analyst, Payroll at their Hyderabad location. This role performs all activities necessary to process local payroll, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports, timely statutory payment and returns, calculating and recording payroll deductions, critically review and analyze all data files to ensure successful processing, while adhering to country specific legislative and regulatory requirements.
The complete details of this job are as follows:
Accurate and timely input of all data in accordance to country processing deadlines
Acts as a subject matter expert and/or resource to employees and other functional groups
Review, analyze and verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections through established procedures
Analyzes and responds to complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures; authorizes exceptions to the policy within defined limits
Researches, analyzes and resolves difficult or advanced technical problems or questions presented by employees, functional groups, and/or third parties
Reviews and/or prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual tax payments and forms
Regular review of processing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with the year-end process, including payroll system setups and timely year –end government remittances and reporting
Keep abreast of all relevant legislative changes with respect to payroll, statutory and audit compliance
Assist with internal/external audits
Liaise with HR, Finance.
Accounting degree or equivalent level of knowledge
Payroll Certification a strong plus
4 to 5 years of relevant experience and thorough knowledge of payroll processes/standards, best practices
Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures
Knowledge of related Labor Rules and Regulations
Good knowledge of rules and regulations – Income Tax, Provident Fund, ESIC etc.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft, SharePoint
Knowledge of Time and Attendance System and Functionality
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail; must be highly organized
Advance MS Office skills: Excel and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to handle confidential material
Smart Team player with Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with various internal / external stake holders
Good listener, flexible and always looking for continuous improvement
Able to handle all regular reporting to various stake holders (internal/external)
Knowledge of expatriate and equity compensation
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
