APSC Recruitment 2023: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is seeking qualified Indian citizens to apply for the position of Exploration Officer (Grade-Il) in the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam under the Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture Department. There is only 01 vacancy for the position. As per the official notification of APSC Recruitment, the candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2022.
The online application form will be available on 09 January 2023. The application form must be submitted by 8th February 2023. Applications received after the deadline and incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply online through the APSC’s official website. Candidates must first register on the APSC website; once registered, candidates can apply with a valid ID and password.

The upper age limit is relaxable
By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. up to 43 years.
By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018
For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General
Category of the candidate as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January, 2019
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation IHSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.
According to the official notification of for APSC Recruitment 2023 the candidate must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Ancient Indian History or Archaeology or Sanskrit or Anthropology with Pre-History as one of the subjects.
Desirable Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from any Govt. recognized Institute.
Desirable Experience: Experience in Archaeological field works in a Govt. recognized Institution, especially in Archaeological Exploration and Excavation.
