Overview:

GE is hiring an experienced Government and Close Reporting Analyst at their Gurgaon location. Responsible for coordination of all government reporting requirements for the global GE HealthCare business, including initiatives to standardize, simplify and automate all government reporting. Individual takes ownership of the submission process to the Government agencies and ensures complete and accurate submissions in line with all government reporting requirements, and ensures day 1 readiness for reporting as a stand alone company. This individual will be responsible for the statutory and financial accounting and ensuring a complete and accurate consolidation in line with US GAAP, standard GEHC processes and procedures, and for SOX 404 requirements for GE HealthCare’s USCAN region (40+ legal entities) including coordination of the close & consolidation process. In addition, this individual will support for a broad range of initiatives to continue to standardize and simplify the GE HealthCare closing process.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

What will you be doing:

Coordinate all government reporting requirements for the global GE HealthCare business; Identify and create automation and simplification ideas for government reporting processes, along with submission processes to the government agencies

Coordination with Regions outside of US relating to Global Government Reporting responsibilities to identify efficiencies in reporting

Ensure day 1 readiness for government reporting as a stand alone company

Provide support to Government and Close Reporting Leader

Responsible for the preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements and disclosures based on actual results for the US and CANADA region. Consolidate, analyze and report financials in compliance with reporting regulations

Serve as US and CANADA closing & reporting contact for US and CANADA finance leadership and GEHC Global Controllership teams. Provide support for all closing and reporting related projects and requests impacting US and CANADA region and/or Global Healthcare; Coordination of monthly journal entries for the US and CANADA region & coordination of monthly/quarterly close & reporting

Assist in preparation of quarterly Financial Reporting Package (FRP) for US and CANADA region, reviewed with USCAN Controller and GEHC Global Controllership team

Ensure timely and defect-free account reconciliations and Supplemental Reporting for GE Healthcare

Participate in other controllership and simplification initiatives. Support both internal and external audit projects

Support implementation of Business/Company policies impacting GE Healthcare

Identify potential risks & opportunities & and communicate effectively. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.



Qualifications for this Job:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university in accounting, finance, or other business related field and minimum of 6 years progressive accounting or finance experience

Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully lead projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas

Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills

Experience working in a matrixed environment
