ICMR Recruitment 2023 for Various Posts: Check Posts, Qualification, and Other Details
ICMR Recruitment 2023: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is looking for dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented personnel for Junior Medical Officer, Health Assistant, Technician / Field Assistant, and Lab Technician / X-Ray Technician positions under the project entitled “A demonstration project for the reduction of TB in India– a multi-centric study (Mega TB elimination project) Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir)” at the Institute. As per the ICMR Recruitment 2023 Notification, the total number of vacancies for these job posts is 7.

There are a total of 07 vacancies for the Posts.
The candidate shall be appointed at ICMR-NJIL & OMD, Agra & Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir).
Qualifications for ICMR Recruitment are mentioned below in the following.
1. Junior Medical Officer: As per the official notification the selected professionals with MBBS degrees from a recognized university will be considered.
2. Health Assistant: The candidate should have passed High School* or equivalent with five years experience in a related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or certificate of one-year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade Certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
*Intermediate with Science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years of experience respectively
3. Technician / Field Assistant: High School* or equivalent with five years experience in a related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or certificate of one-year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade Certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and the successful completion of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
*Intermediate with Science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years of experience respectively.
4. Lab. Technician / X-Ray Technician: The eligible candidate should be a 12th pass in science subjects and two years’ diplomas in Medical Laboratory Technician or PMW or Radiology/ Radiography or a related subject) or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years of field/laboratory experience or animal housekeeping in Government recognized organization.
B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years of experience.
The age limit of the candidates will be as given below:
For Junior Medical Officer/ Lab. Technician / X-Ray Technician:
The age of the candidate should be below 30 years.
For Health Assistant/ Technician / Field Assistant:
The age of the candidate should be below 28 years.
For Junior Medical Officer:
The candidate selected for the Post of Junior Medical Officer will be paid a consolidated sum of Rs. 60,000 per month.
For Health Assistant/ Technician / Field Assistant:
The candidate appointed to the Posts should be paid the consolidated sum of Rs. 17,000 P.M.
For Lab Technician / X-Ray Technician:
For the Post of Lab Technician / X-Ray Technician, the selected candidate shall be paid Rs. 18,000 per month.
The candidate will be selected for an initial contract will be for a period of one year from the date of appointment and may be extended for another year based on the performance evaluation report and the need of the project.
