Overview:

Cisco is hiring an experienced Technical Marketing Engineer at their Bangalore location. You will work with a diverse group of problem solvers and creative thinkers focusing on the Nexus 9000, Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), NXOS, and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC). This is the Technical Marketing Team that works on the next generation of datacenter and cloud networking. The role requires a high level of initiative, energy, and rapid thinking.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with Data Center/Enterprise/SP/Commercial/Financial customers and understand their requirements.
• Develop automation suites for network infrastructure
• party ecosystems integrations
• Develop presentations, collateral, and webinars, and present to customers
• Develop competitive collateral
• Work with partners, system integrators, and channels
• Be able to travel as needed to meet customers, launch products, train sales and partners

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in engineering & architecture.
• Experience with customers in technical marketing / advanced services / technical support
• Extensive Experience with Python and/or Golang and source control software (Git)
• Experience with REST APIs and software development kits (SDKs)
• Understanding of SDN Technologies – Data Center, WAN, or Service Provider
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and VXLAN
• Understanding of Cloud and virtualization technologies
• Comfortable presenting to customers and Cisco employees
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively
• Good verbal and writing skills. Able to create white papers for publishing on Cisco’s website.
• Must be a team player and work well in small and large group environments

Other Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of network test tools
• Knowledge of Cisco ACI, NDFC, and Nexus 9K is a big plus.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and/or terraform is a big plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software development methodologies is desirable
