GMRC Recruitment 2024: Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Joint Managing Director. The lower limit of age should be 50 years and the upper limit should be 62 years.
The candidate should hold a degree in Engineering (Civil) with a minimum of thirty (30) years of Group A / Executive Service in Railways or equivalent. Only one vacant seat is available for the aforesaid post in GMRC Recruitment 2024. The period of engagement for GMRC Recruitment 2024 will be a basis for a period of 03 years unless extended by the Competent Authority.

Qualification and Experience for GMRC Recruitment 2024:
Referring to the official notification of GMRC Recruitment 2024, the qualifications and experience are mentioned below:
The candidate must have a degree in engineering (civil) from a university or institute recognized by the Government of India or a state government.
Experience:
A proven track record of minimum Thirty (30) years of Group A / Executive Service in Railways or equivalent, including Railway PSUs/Metro Rail Corporation.
The candidate should have a Minimum Twenty (20) years of experience out of Thirty (30) years mentioned above in Planning and Construction of Multidisciplinary Railway Projects, including experience in land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement of project-affected persons.
The candidate should have extensive experience in preparing tenders, contract management and project management of important engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels, and underground construction.
The candidate should have experience and knowledge of coordinating and interfacing with railway-related disciplines such as Track laying works, signaling electrification, rolling stock, etc.
The candidate should be well versed in safety and quality aspects relating to Metro Rail/Railway Construction and Operations.
The candidate should have substantial experience in coordination with the government.
In addition to the above, experience in elevated construction such as viaducts and all aspects of large projects on international contracts, i.e. planning, bid documents, bidding, execution, commissioning, etc., and having knowledge of complying with the project related requirements of international funding institutions will be preferable.
Applicants who have worked for at least 1 (one) year in the pay scale of Rs. 150000–300000 (IDA) or equivalent pay scale in CDA or equivalent in Government / PSU will have an added advantage for this position.
