UGC NET Exam Dates 2024: Check Subject-wise Exam Dates and Related Information
UGC NET Exam Dates 2024: The National Testing Agency, NTA, has announced the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, UGC NET examination schedule for the session 2024. According to the prior notification, NTA was expected to conduct the UGC NET December 2024 exam between January 1, 2025, and January 19, 2025. Later on, a few dates of the exam have been modified. As per the updated schedule, now the exams will be held from January 3, 2025, to January 16, 2025. Registered candidates who are appearing for the exam can check out the subject-wise schedule here.
The official announcement posted on the UGC NET website states that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will facilitate UGC–NET December 2024 for (i) the award of a Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor, (ii) appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD, and (iii) admission to PhD only’ for 85 subjects in CBT mode from 03rd January 2025 to 16th January 2025.”
In accordance with the schedule, the exam will be conducted for 85 subjects. Candidates should be aware that the exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exams are scheduled to be conducted in two shifts by NTA. The first shift starts from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift is between 3 pm and 6 pm. NTA will release the exam centre details slip a week before the start of the exam. The exam centre allocation slip is released before the admit cards to allow candidates to make travel arrangements accordingly.
