Post Name and Vacancies for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:

The Indian Coast Guard is seeking for eligible candidates to fill out the post of Assistant and Leading Hand Fireman in General Central Service, Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ Non Gazetted, Ministerial on a Deputation Basis.  Referring to the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025,  there are 48 vacancies for the assigned position.

Tenue Period for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:

As per the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025,  for the Assistant position, the candidate will be appointed on a Deputation Basis for a tenure period of  02 years, and for the Leading Hand Fireman candidate will be appointed on a Deputation Basis for a tenure period of  01 year.

Note: Period of deputation (including Short-Term Contract) including period of deputation (including Short-Term Contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed 03 years.

Eligibility for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:

Based on the official notification Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025, candidate should have the following eligibility mentioned below.

Assistant

• Applicant holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department,
  OR
• Candidate should have at least 06 years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-1, Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800 (Revised pay Level-5 in the pay matrix) in the parent cadre or department;
  AND
• Candidate should have at least 10 years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-1, Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400(Revised pay Level-4 in the pay matrix) in the parent cadre or department.

Leading Hand Fireman

• Applicant holding analogous post in fire fighting cadre on regular basis in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000 (Revised pay Level-3 in the pay matrix) in the parent cadre or department.
  OR
• Candidate having 03 years service in the grade of Fireman Grade I or equivalent grade of Fireman on regular basis in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900 (Revised pay Level-2 in the pay matrix) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department and possessing the following qualification.

Qualification and Experience for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:

Candidates applying for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025 must have the following qualifications and experience.

Assistant

Applicant should have a  Degree from any recognized University.

Leading Hand Fireman

• Applicant must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalents
• Candidate should have an experience of maintaining documents at the Fire Station,
• Aspirants must have at least 01 year experience of making use of minor and major fire fighting appliances or equipment.
• Ability to train guide and control working of fire crew and able to take independent charge of shifts,
• Candidate should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.

Desirable: –

• Candidate should have an experience with the use, maintenance and operation of different types of Fire Fighting equipment and appliances.
• Candidate should have an experience of working in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman.

In line with the official Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025 notification, the maximum age limit for the assigned position should not be 56 years.

Pay Scale for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:

As per the official notification of  Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025, selected applicant will be paid in between Rs.9300 to Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay  between Rs.2000 to Rs.4200.
