CBSE Board Exams 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently released an official notice to teach students of classes 10th and 12th who are this year eligible to appear for the CBSE Board Exams 2025, about exam ethics. This year 2025, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will administer the board examinations (Class 10th and 12th) for about 44 lakh students. The exams will be held for a total of 204 subjects and will be commenced on February 15, 2025.
The officially released notice by the site of CBSE states, “You would agree that conduct of fair examination is a must in the academic interest of the students. Accordingly, a detailed “Unfair Means Rules” have been framed by the CBSE. It is desirable that before the start of the examinations, all the students who would appear in Board examinations be informed about the ethics of the examinations, their rules and the instructions issued by the CBSE. Though instructions are given on the Admit Card of the student, however, this communication is to reiterate the same with a request to all Principals of CBSE Affiliated Schools to sensitize their students and create general awareness towards prohibition of the use of unfair practices in the Examination Hall/Centre.”
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has said to all board students not to carry any prohibited material in the examination halls such as electronic devices. CBSE has also clarified that if any student is caught spreading any rumours about the exam, his/her current and next year’s examination will be cancelled.
The CBSE-affiliated schools must follow the below-mentioned instructions:
Schools are required to read the UFM guidelines and penalties that can be imposed.
Schools must briefly explain to the students about examination ethics and the penalties. Also, inform them that they should not believe rumours and not indulge themselves in spreading rumours affecting the smooth conduct of examinations.
Schools must also teach about this in brief to the parents of students about examination ethics and the penalties.
Schools are instructed to remind the students on the day of the examination and also to ensure that they are not carrying any barred items to the examination centre.
Also, deployed officials on examination duty be briefed.
CBSE Board Exams 2025: Permitted Items
Items permitted at the CBSE Board Exams 2025 halls:
CBSE Board Admit Card 2025 and also school identity card (for regular students).
CBSE Board Admit Card 2025 and one government-issued photo identity card (for private students).
Candidates are required to carry all essential stationary items such as a transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ink/ballpoint/gel pen, scale, writing pad, eraser etc.
Only Analogue watches and transparent water bottles are allowed.
Metro card, bus pass, money etc are permitted.
CBSE Board Exams 2025: Prohibited Items
Items Prohibited at the CBSE Board Exams 2025 halls:
Candidates are not allowed to carry stationary items such as Textual material (printed or written), electronic pens, scanners, bits of paper, calculators, pen drives, log tables (will be provided by centres) etc. Students with Dyscalculia are permitted to use calculators provided by the exam centre.
Candidates are not permitted to carry electronic items including Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, mobile phones, cameras, etc.
Other items not allowed at examination halls are wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches, etc.
Candidates are also not allowed to carry any eatable items at the examination halls (opened or packed) except diabetic students.
Any other items that can used as unfair means in the examination are not permitted.
CBSE Board Exams 2025: Dress Code
The dress code for the students who are this year eligible to appear for the CBSE Board Exams 2025:
For Regular Students:
Candidates are only allowed to wear their school uniform. Any other dresses are not allowed at the examination halls.
For Private Students:
Candidates can wear any short or light clothes, not recommended to wear short clothes.
