Overview:

ABB is hiring an experienced Project Controller at their Bangalore location. You will be working as Project Controller and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to the Business Controller. Responsible to support senior project manager in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the project’s performance. Assigned to multiple smaller projects.

What will you be doing:

Supporting the tender manager on financial aspects – cashflow and provide input to negotiations on commercial, contractual issues and local risk review process

Providing input to the project execution plan on financial aspects, project cashflow planning, financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting)

Driving project currency exposures & hedging

Establishing project governance process and participating in opportunity/ risk identification, monitor that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented

Supporting the project manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews. Verifying the substance for cost to complete and project schedule

Providing support on claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitors the proper follow up together with the contract manager/ project manager up-stream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as down-stream (towards suppliers)

Promoting commercial awareness in the project team and provides commercial input to the project execution plan (such as T&C’s in supply management, claims, back to back conditions)

Qualifications for this Job:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, CA preferred

5 – 7 years of relevant working experience, with good understanding of project controlling

Experience working in an MNC preferred

Good knowledge of accounting and reporting, preferably USGAAP & INGAAP

SAP skills especially in MM, SD, PS & FICO Module

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically on MS Excel & Power point
