Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Introduces Rebate up to 15% on Payments For Advance Property Tax
The city civic body is set to continue its popular advance rebate scheme for the financial year 2025-26. The scheme is providing rebates between 12% and 15% from April 8 to April 30.
The scheme is designed to ensure that taxes are paid on time. Additionally, those taxpayers who have consistently paid in advance over the last three years are rewarded. Taxpayers will get a 12% rebate if they pay their property tax in advance. If they are paying through online mode, they will earn an additional 1% rebate. This will increase their rebate to 13%.
On the other hand, if the taxpayers have paid in advance for three consecutive years, then they will get an extra 2% rebate, which will hike their total rebate to 15%.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) expects to generate higher revenue from its property tax rebate scheme this year as compared to Rs. 776.84 crore in the previous financial year.
