Assam Board Academic Calendar 2024-25: The Assam Board of Secondary Education has announced numerous key adjustments for the 2024–2025 academic year. To begin, a new elective topic, “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics,” will be added to classes IX and X. The textbook for this subject is available via the SEBA website, a special link, and the free market. Furthermore, practical scores for vocational studies will be 50% beginning with the 2024–2025 academic year, while computer science and commerce will stay at 30%. The district-level internal examination committee will conduct practical exams for all courses, which students must pass independently. Furthermore, the assessment pattern will change with the addition of IA marks to MCQ and descriptive questions, the use of four sets of OMRs, and modifications to the question patterns for certain topics. Sample question papers for mathematics and science will be provided in accordance with NEP 2020 guidelines, and schools will get the “Teachers’ Energize Resource Manual” to ensure quality education. The notification emphasizes that all parties involved must follow these provisions. BSEA has decided to introduce new a new elective topic, “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics,” from the academic year 2024-25 in Class IX and from Academic year 2025-26 in Class X
How will the question patterns for various disciplines alter in accordance with the NEP 2020 guidelines?
1. School Routine:
Students will follow a timetable, a proper routine as mentioned in the guidelines.
2. Preparation of Subject-wise Work-schedule:
Students will follow the work schedule made by the teachers subject-wise.
Procedure for promotion of students to higher class (for class IX):
The passing marks are 30% both for the written exam and internal assessment for the mentioned subjects. Students must score minimum 27 marks in written exam and 3 marks in internal assessment to pass.
