CA Attempts Suicide by Inhaling Helium Gas in Airbnb, Says "Death is the Most Beautiful" A 25-year-old Chartered Accountant (CA) has recently attempted suicide by inhaling helium gas. Sources say the cylinder was bought from Ghaziabad for Rs 3,500 after searching on an online marketplace. The individual is recognised as Dheeraj Kansal. The crime was performed in an Airbnb booked for eight days, July 20 to 28. He died, leaving behind a death note written on paper and on social media, said police.

Before attempting suicide, Dheeraj also posted a long emotional note on the social media platform Facebook, in which he wrote, "Death is the most beautiful part of life for me. Please do not be sad about my death. Suicide is not wrong because I have no responsibilities on me." In the note, he wrote that he had no emotional connection in his life. He stated that his father had already passed away and his mother had remarried. According to the report, Dheeraj grew up in Mangolpuri and, with time, became successful as a chartered accountant and was initially employed in a Gurgaon firm. However, he felt loneliness in his life; the doctor described this condition as a 'silent epidemic.' The incident, the first known suicide by using helium gas in the capital, happened at an Airbnb near Bengali Market in the Gol Market area. It came to light on Monday when a man named Dheeraj Kansal did not check out of the rental on time.

Police said the owner of the place noticed a bad smell near the room. He got suspicious and called the police. When the police broke open the door, they found Kansal dead on the bed. A pipe was found; one end was connected to a gas cylinder, and the other end was in his mouth. His face and neck were also covered with a clear plastic sheet, police sources said. Kansal had checked into the room at 18, Bazaar Lane, on July 20 and was supposed to leave on July 28, the sources added.
